< Revelation 8 >

1 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for around half an hour.
Dorssay laappuntha maatamiya dooyida wode bagga saate gideyssa mela saloy si7i gis.
2 I saw the seven angels that stand before God. They were given seven trumpets.
Hessafe guye, taani laappun moyzeti imettida laappun kiitanchchota Xoossaa sinthan eqqidayssata be7as.
3 Then another angel came and stood at the altar. He had a golden censer and he was given a large quantity of incense to add to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar that stands in front of the throne.
Ixaane cuyisiya worqqa shaate oykkida hara kiitanchchoy yidi, yarshsho bessaa matan eqqis. I araata sinthan de7iya worqqa yarshsho bessaa bolla geeshshata ubbaa woosaara gujjidi yarshshana mela iyaw daro ixaaney imettis.
4 The smoke of the incense rose together with the prayers of the saints before God from the hand of the angel.
Ixaaniya cuyay geeshshata woosaara issife kiitanchchuwa kusheppe pude Xoossaakko keyis.
5 The angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it down upon the earth; there was the sound of thunder, with lightning flashes, and a terrible earthquake.
Hessafe guye, kiitanchchoy ixaane cuyisiya shaatiya ekkidi, iyan yarshsho bessaafe bonqqo tama kunthidi sa7a duge holis. Yaatin deshoy, wol77anthay, girssaynne biitta qaaxoy hanis.
6 Then the seven angels holding the seven trumpets prepared to blow them.
Hessafe guye, laappun kiitanchchoti bantta moyziya punnanaw giigettidosona.
7 The first angel blew his trumpet. Hail and fire mixed with blood rained down on the earth. One third of the earth was burned up, one third of the trees were burned up and all the green grass was burned up.
Koyro kiitanchchoy ba moyziya punniya wode shachchinne suuthara walakettida tami saloppe bukkis. Sa7aappe sikkoy xuugettis; mithaafe sikkoy xuugettis; cil77o maata ubbay xuugettis.
8 The second angel blew his trumpet. Something looking like a huge mountain of flaming fire was thrown into the sea. One third of the sea turned to blood,
Nam77antho kiitanchchoy ba moyziya punnida wode wolqqaama dere daaniyabay taman eexishe abban yegettis. Yaatin, abbaafe sikkoy suuthu gidis.

Abban de7on de7iya medhetethaafe sikkoy hayqqis; markkabetappe sikkoy dhays.
10 The third angel blew his trumpet. A great star fell from heaven, blazing brightly. It fell on a third of the rivers and springs of water.
Heedzantho kiitanchchoy ba moyziya punnida wode xomppeda eexiya wolqqaama xoolinttoy shaafappe sikkuwa bollanne pulttota bolla saloppe wodhdhis.
11 The name of the star is Wormwood, and one third of the water turned bitter, and many people died from drinking the water because it had become poisonous.
He xoolintuwa sunthay Camo geetettees. Haathaafe sikkuwa camisis; haathay cammida gisho, daro asay he haathaa uyidi hayqqidosona.
12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet. One third of the sun, moon, and stars were struck so a third of them would be darkened, and a third part of the day would not give light, similarly the night.
Oyddantho kiitanchchoy ba moyziya punnis. Awaappe, ageenaappenne xoolinttotappe sikkuwa dechchis; entta poo7uwappe sikkoy dhumis. Gallasaappe sikkoy, qammaafekka sikkoy dhumis.
13 I saw and heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, shouting loudly, “Disaster, disaster, disaster is coming to those who live on the earth because of what is going to happen when the three remaining angels blow their trumpets.”
Issi argganthi salo dhoqqu gidi, piradhishin be7as. He argganthay ba qaala dhoqqu oothidi, “Attida heedzu kiitanchchoti bantta moyziya punnanaw de7iya gisho, sa7an de7iya asaa ayye! Ayye! Ayye!” yaagishin si7as.
