Revelation 5
1 I saw the one sitting on the throne holding a scroll in his right hand. The scroll was written on both sides and was sealed with seven seals.
第二款 羔及び七封印の巻物 我又玉座の上に坐し給ふものの右の御手の上に、内外に文字ありて七の印を以て封ぜられたる巻物を見、
2 I saw a powerful angel shouting in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?”
又一の強き天使の聲高く、巻物を開きて其封印を解くに堪ふる者は誰ぞ、と布告するを見たり。
3 Nobody in heaven, or on earth, or under the earth was able to open the scroll and read it.
而も天にも地上にも地下にも、巻物を開きて之を眺むる事だに能くする者なかりき。
4 I cried many tears because nobody could be found who was worthy to open the book and read it.
斯て誰も巻物を開きて見るにすら堪へたりと認めらるる者なきにより、我大いに泣き居たりしかば、
5 One of the elders spoke to me and said, “Don't cry. Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the descendant of David, has won the battle and can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
翁の一人我に謂ひけるは、泣く勿れ、看よやユダ族の獅子ダヴィドの萌蘗、勝利を得て巻物を開き、其七封印を解くを得給ふと。
6 I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been killed standing in the center by the throne and the four living creatures, among the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes that are the seven Spirits of God that are sent out to all the earth.
我見たるに、折しも玉座と四の動物との中央、翁等の中央に屠られたるが如き羔立ちて、是に七の角あり、又全世界に遣られし神の七霊なる七の眼あり。
7 He went and took the scroll from the right hand of the one that sat on the throne.
羔來りて玉座に坐し給ふものの右の御手より巻物を受けしが、
8 When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the believers.
其巻物を受くるや、四の動物と廿四人の翁とは羔の前に平伏し、各琴[の如きもの]又聖人等の祈なる香の充ちたる金の香炉を持ちて、
9 They sang a new song, “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, for you were slain and with your blood you redeemed for God people from every tribe, language, people, and nation.
新しき賛美歌を謳ひ、主よ汝は巻物を受けて其封印を解くに堪へ給へり、其は屠られ給ひて、御血を以て、神の為に諸族、諸語、諸民、諸國の中より人々を贖ひ、
10 You made them into a kingdom and priests for our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
之を我等の神の為に王たらしめ司祭たらしめ給ひたればなり、彼等は地上を統治すべし、と言ひ居れり。
11 As I looked I heard the voices of millions of angels around the throne, together with the living creatures and the elders,
我尚見たるに、玉座と動物と翁等との周圍に在る、多くの天使の聲を聞けり、其數萬々億々にして、
12 shouting loudly together: “The Lamb that was slain is worthy to receive authority, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing.”
聲高く言ひけるは、屠られ給ひし羔は、権威と富有と、叡智と能力と、尊貴と光榮と祝福とを受くるに堪へ給ふものなり、と。
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, in the sea—every creature everywhere—replying: “To the one who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be blessing, honor, glory, and authority, for ever and ever.” (aiōn g165)
又天にも、地上にも地下にも、海上にも何處にも、被造物の悉く言へるを聞けり、玉座に坐し給ふものと羔とに、祝福と尊貴と、光榮と権能と、世々に限なし、と。 (aiōn g165)
14 The four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
而して四の動物はアメンと言ひ、廿四人の翁は平伏して、世々に限なく活き給ふものを禮拝し奉れり。
