< Psalms 1 >

1 Happy are those who don't follow the advice of the wicked. They refuse to adopt the ways of sinful people, and they don't make fun of others.
Nagasat ti tao a saan a magna iti pammagbaga dagiti nadangkes, wenno agtakder iti dalan dagiti managbasol, wenno agtugaw iti taripnong dagiti manglalais.
2 Instead they love to do what the law of the Lord says, and they think about it day and night.
Ngem ti ragsakna ket adda iti linteg ni Yahweh, ken ut-utobenna ti linteg ni Yahweh iti aldaw ken rabii.
3 They're like trees growing by flowing rivers, producing fruit every season. Their leaves never wither, and they are successful in all they do.
Maiyarig isuna iti maysa a kayo a naimula iti igid dagiti waig nga agbunga iti tiempona, a saan a malaylay dagiti bulongna; agballigi ti aniaman nga aramidenna.
4 But it's not like that for the wicked! They are like chaff, blown away by the wind.
Saan a kasta dagiti nadangkes, ngem kasla ketdi iti taep nga itayab ti angin.
5 For this reason the wicked will not survive the judgment—sinners have no place among those who live right.
Isu a saanto a makatakder dagiti nadangkes iti panangukom, wenno dagiti managbasol iti taripnong dagiti nalinteg.
6 For the Lord watches over those who follow the right way, but the way of the wicked leads to death.
Ta anamungan ni Yahweh ti dalan dagiti nalinteg, ngem mapukawto ti dalan dagiti nadangkes.
