< Psalms 1 >
1 Happy are those who don't follow the advice of the wicked. They refuse to adopt the ways of sinful people, and they don't make fun of others.
Onye ihe na-agara nke ọma ka mmadụ ahụ bụ, onye na-adịghị aga ije na ndụmọdụ ndị na-emebi iwu; onye na-adịghị eguzokwa nʼụzọ ndị mmehie maọbụ soro nʼotu ndị nkwutọ.
2 Instead they love to do what the law of the Lord says, and they think about it day and night.
Kama ihe na-atọ ya ụtọ bụ ime ihe niile dị nʼiwu Onyenwe anyị. Ọ na-atụgharịkwa uche ya nʼiwu Onyenwe anyị ehihie na abalị,
3 They're like trees growing by flowing rivers, producing fruit every season. Their leaves never wither, and they are successful in all they do.
Ọ dị ka osisi a kụrụ nʼakụkụ iyi, nke na-amịpụta mkpụrụ ya nʼoge ya, nke ahịhịa ya na-adịghị akpọnwụ akpọnwụ. Ihe niile ọ na-eme na-agara ya nke ọma.
4 But it's not like that for the wicked! They are like chaff, blown away by the wind.
Ma ndị ajọ omume adịghị otu a. Ha dị ka igbugbo ọka nke oke ifufe na-efesasị.
5 For this reason the wicked will not survive the judgment—sinners have no place among those who live right.
Ya mere, ndị ajọ omume agaghị eguzosi ike nʼụbọchị ikpe; ndị mmehie agaghị eguzokwa na nzukọ ndị ezi omume.
6 For the Lord watches over those who follow the right way, but the way of the wicked leads to death.
Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị na-eche ụzọ ndị ezi omume nche. Ma ụzọ ndị ajọ omume ga-eduba ha nʼịla nʼiyi.
