Psalms 95

1 Come, let's sing for joy to the Lord! Let's shout in triumph to the rock of our salvation!

Vinde, cantemos alegres ao SENHOR; gritemos [de alegria] à rocha de nossa salvação.

2 Let's go before him with thanksgiving! Let's sing loudly to him in celebration!

Cheguemos adiante de sua presença com agradecimentos; cantemos salmos a ele.

3 For the Lord is a great God, a great king above all gods.

Porque o Senhor é o grande Deus, e maior Rei do que todos os deuses.

4 He rules over the depths of the earth and the heights of the mountains.

Na mão dele estão as profundezas da terra; e a ele pertencem os altos montes.

5 The sea is his, because he made it; the dry land, because he formed it.

Dele [também] é o mar, pois ele o fez; e suas mãos formaram a [terra] seca.

6 Come, let's enter in and worship, let's kneel before the Lord our Creator.

Vinde, adoremos, e prostremo-nos; ajoelhemo-nos perante o SENHOR, que nos fez.

7 For he is our God, and we are the people he looks after like a shepherd, the flock he cares for. If you hear his voice calling you today,

Porque ele é o nosso Deus, e nós [somos] o povo do seu pasto, e as ovelhas de sua mão. Se hoje ouvirdes a voz dele,

8 don't have a hard-hearted attitude, “as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the desert,

Não endureçais vosso coração, como em Meribá, como no dia da tentação no deserto,

9 when your forefathers provoked me, testing my patience, even though they had seen everything I'd done.

Onde vossos pais me tentaram; eles me provaram, mesmo já tendo visto minha obra.

10 For forty years I was disgusted with that generation, and I said, ‘They are people who are unfaithful to me in their minds, and they refuse to accept my ways.’

Por quarenta anos aguentei com desgosto d [esta] geração, e disse: Este povo se desvia em seus corações; e eles não conhecem meus caminhos.

11 So in my frustration I vowed, ‘They will certainly not enter my rest.’”

Por isso jurei em minha ira que eles não entrarão no meu [lugar] de descanso.
