< Psalms 94 >
1 The Lord is a God of vengeance! God of vengeance, shine out!
Awurade, Onyankopɔn a wotɔ were, Onyankopɔn a wotɔ were, hyerɛn.
2 Stand up, judge of the earth, and pay back those who are proud what they deserve.
Sɔre, asase so Temmufo, tua ahantanfo ka sɛnea ɛfata wɔn.
3 How long, Lord? How long will the wicked celebrate in triumph?
Awurade, enkosi da bɛn, amumɔyɛfo nnye wɔn ani nkosi da bɛn?
4 How long will you let them pour out their arrogant words? How long will these evil people go on boasting?
Wɔkasa ahantan so; ahohoahoa ahyɛ abɔnefo nyinaa ma.
5 Lord, they crush your people; they oppress those you call your own.
Awurade, wɔdwerɛw wo nkurɔfo; wɔhyɛ wʼagyapade so.
6 They kill widows and foreigners; they murder orphans.
Wokunkum akunafo ne ananafo; na wodi ayisaa awu.
7 They say, “The Lord can't see what we're doing. Israel's God doesn't pay any attention to us.”
Wɔka se, “Awurade nhu, Yakob Nyankopɔn ayi nʼani.”
8 Take another look, you stupid people! Fools—when will you ever get the point?
Monhwɛ yiye, mo agyimifo a mowɔ nnipa no mu; nkwaseafo, da bɛn na mubehu nyansa?
9 Do you think the creator of the ear can't hear? Do you think the maker of the eye can't see?
Nea ɔbɔɔ aso no rente asɛm ana? Nea ɔyɛɛ ani no renhu ade ana?
10 Do you think that the one who punishes nations won't punish you too? Do you think that the one who teaches human beings knowledge doesn't know anything?
Nea ɔteɛteɛ aman so no rentwe aso ana? Nea ɔkyerɛkyerɛ onipa no nnim nyansa ana?
11 The Lord knows the thoughts of human beings—he knows they are pointless.
Awurade nim onipa nsusuwii; onim sɛ enkosi hwee.
12 Those you discipline are happy, Lord; those you teach from your Law.
Awurade, nhyira ne onipa a woteɛteɛ no so, onipa a wokyerɛ no wo mmara no;
13 You give them peace in days of trouble, until a pit is dug to trap the wicked.
Woma ɔhome fi amanehunu nna mu, kosi sɛ wobetu amoa ama amumɔyɛfo.
14 For the Lord will not give up on his people; he will not abandon his own.
Awurade rempo ne nkurɔfo; na ɔrennyaw nʼagyapade hɔ da.
15 Justice will once again be based on what is right; those who are sincere will support it.
Atemmu begyina treneeyɛ so bio, na wɔn a wɔn koma mu tew nyinaa bedi so.
16 Who came to my defense against the wicked; who stood up for me against those who do evil?
Hena na ɔbɛsɔre atia amumɔyɛfo ama me? Hena na ɔbɛsɔre atia abɔnefo ama me?
17 If the Lord hadn't helped me, I would have soon gone down into the silence of the grave.
Sɛ Awurade ammoa me a, anka mekɔɔ owu kommyɛ mu ntɛm so.
18 I shouted out, “My foot's slipping!” and your trustworthy love, Lord, kept me from falling.
Bere a mekae se, “Me nan rewatiri” no, Awurade, wo dɔ no soo me mu.
19 When my mind was full of worries, you comforted me and encouraged me.
Bere a me dadwen dɔɔso no, wʼawerɛkyekye maa me kra abotɔyam.
20 Can unjust judges really be on your side, Lord, when their corrupt use of the law causes misery?
Ahengua a porɔwee ahyɛ no mma no ne wo wɔ ayɔnkofa ana? Ahengua a ne hyɛ nsɛm de amanehunu na ɛba no?
21 They work together to destroy good people; they condemn those who are innocent to death.
Wɔka bɔ mu tia atreneefo na wɔn a wodi bem no, wobu wɔn kumfɔ.
22 But the Lord protects me like a fortress; my God is the rock that keeps me safe.
Nanso Awurade yɛ mʼaban; na me Nyankopɔn ayɛ ɔbotan a ne mu na minya ahintawee.
23 He will turn the wickedness of evil people back upon them; he will destroy them because of their sins; the Lord our God will destroy them.
Obetua wɔn nnebɔne no so ka na wɔn amumɔyɛ nti wasɛe wɔn; Awurade yɛn Nyankopɔn bɛsɛe wɔn.
