< Psalms 93 >
1 The Lord reigns, clothed in majesty! He wears his royal robes, with his power worn like a belt. The world is held together firmly—it cannot be broken apart.
The Praise of a Canticle, of David himself. In the time before the Sabbath, when the earth was founded. The Lord has reigned. He has been clothed with beauty. The Lord has been clothed with strength, and he has girded himself. Yet he has also confirmed the world, which will not be moved.
2 Your throne has existed from ages past; you are from eternity.
My throne is prepared from of old. You are from everlasting.
3 The floods have raised up, Lord; the floods have raised their voices; the floods have raised up their crashing waves.
The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,
4 But greater than the most violent ocean, greater than the largest waves of the sea, the greatest is the Lord above.
before the noise of many waters. Wondrous are the surges of the sea; wondrous is the Lord on high.
5 Your laws are totally trustworthy. Your house, Lord, is holy forever.
Your testimonies have been made exceedingly trustworthy. Sanctity befits your house, O Lord, with length of days.
