< Psalms 9 >
1 For the music director. According to Muth-labben. A psalm of David. I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the amazing things you have done.
Dawid dwom. Awurade, mefi me koma nyinaa mu ada wo ase. Mɛka wʼanwonwade no nyinaa.
2 I will be glad and celebrate in you; I will sing praises to your wonderful nature, Most High God.
Mɛma mʼani agye na madi ahurusi wɔ wo mu. Mɛto ayeyi dwom ama wo din, Ɔsorosoroni.
3 Those who hate me retreat; they fall back and die when you confront them.
Mʼatamfo san wɔn akyi; wɔtetew hwe, na wowuwu wɔ wʼanim.
4 For you have judged that I am right; you have decided fairly from your throne of judgment.
Woadi mʼasɛm ama me, na menya mʼahofadi; woatena wʼahengua so, abu atɛntrenee.
5 You have condemned the nations; you have destroyed the wicked; you have wiped out their names forever and ever.
Woatwe amanaman no aso, na woasɛe amumɔyɛfo. Woapepa wɔn din a wɔrenkae wɔn bio.
6 The enemies are finished, ruined forever; their cities are destroyed—even the memory of them is gone.
Ɔsɛe a enni awiei ato ɔtamfo no, woatutu wɔn nkuropɔn; na wɔnkae wɔn bio mpo.
7 But the Lord rules forever, his throne is set up for judgment.
Awurade di hene daa daa; wasi nʼatemmu ahengua.
8 The Lord judges the world rightly; he judges the nations fairly.
Ɔde trenee bebu wiase atɛn; ɔde atɛntrenee bedi nnipa no so.
9 The Lord is a place of safety for those who are oppressed, a fortress in times of trouble.
Awurade yɛ guankɔbea ma wɔn a wodi wɔn nya no, ɔyɛ abandennen wɔ ahohia mmere mu.
10 Those who know your nature trust in you, for you don't abandon those who come to you.
Wɔn a wonim wo din no de wɔn ho bɛto wo so, efisɛ, wo Awurade, wunnyaw obiara a ɔhwehwɛ wo no mu da.
11 Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Zion! Tell the nations what he has done!
Monto ayeyi dwom mma Awurade a ɔte ahengua so wɔ Sion; mompae mu nka nea wayɛ wɔ amanaman no mu.
12 He does not forget to punish murderers; he does not ignore the cries of the suffering.
Na ɔkae nea ɔtɔ mogya so were no; ommu nʼani ngu ɔbrɛfo sufrɛ so.
13 Be gracious to me, Lord! Look at how my enemies are persecuting me! Grab me back from the gates of death,
Awurade, hwɛ sɛnea mʼatamfo teetee me! Hu me mmɔbɔ na yi me fi owu apon ano,
14 so I can praise you at Zion's gates, happy that you have saved me.
na matumi apae mu aka wʼayeyi wɔ Ɔbabea Sion apon ano, na madi ahurusi wɔ wo nkwagye no mu hɔ.
15 The nations have fallen into their own pit they dug; their feet are trapped by their own net they set.
Amanaman mufo atɔ amoa a wɔatu no mu; afiri a wosum hintaw no ayi wɔn anan.
16 The Lord is known for his fairness; the wicked are trapped by their own actions. (Higgaion, Selah)
Awurade atɛntrenee da no adi; amumɔyɛfo nsa ano adwuma ayi wɔn.
17 The wicked depart, going to the grave—all nations who turn their backs on God. (Sheol )
Amumɔyɛfo san kɔ ɔda mu, amanaman a wɔn werɛ fi Onyankopɔn nyinaa. (Sheol )
18 But the needy will not be ignored forever, the hope of those who suffer will not always be dashed.
Nanso ɛnyɛ daa na ne werɛ befi ohiani, anaasɛ mmɔborɔni anidaso bɛyera korakora.
19 Stand up, Lord! Don't let human beings win! Let the nations be brought before you for judgment!
Sɔre! Awurade, mma ɔdesani nni nkonim, bu amanaman no atɛn wɔ wʼanim.
20 Lord, terrify them! Let them know they are only human! (Selah)
Bɔ wɔn hu, Awurade; na ma wonhu sɛ, wɔyɛ adesa bi kɛkɛ.
