< Psalms 9 >

1 For the music director. According to Muth-labben. A psalm of David. I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the amazing things you have done.
Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Eyimbibwa okujjukira Okufa kw’Omwana. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Nnaakutenderezanga, Ayi Mukama n’omutima gwange gwonna; nnaayolesanga ebikolwa byo eby’ekitalo byonna.
2 I will be glad and celebrate in you; I will sing praises to your wonderful nature, Most High God.
Nnaasanyukanga era nnaajagulizanga mu ggwe. Nnaayimbanga nga ntendereza erinnya lyo, Ayi Mukama Ali Waggulu Ennyo.
3 Those who hate me retreat; they fall back and die when you confront them.
Abalabe bange bazzeeyo emabega, beesittadde ne bazikiririra mu maaso go.
4 For you have judged that I am right; you have decided fairly from your throne of judgment.
Kubanga owagidde ebiŋŋwanira, n’ensonga zange; era otudde ku ntebe yo ey’obwakabaka n’osala omusango mu bwenkanya.
5 You have condemned the nations; you have destroyed the wicked; you have wiped out their names forever and ever.
Waboggolera amawanga, n’ozikiriza ababi; erinnya lyabwe n’olisangulirawo ddala emirembe n’emirembe.
6 The enemies are finished, ruined forever; their cities are destroyed—even the memory of them is gone.
Abalabe obamaliddewo ddala, n’ebibuga byabwe obizikirizza, era tewali aliddayo kubijjukira.
7 But the Lord rules forever, his throne is set up for judgment.
Naye Mukama afuga emirembe gyonna; era ataddewo entebe ye ey’okusalirako emisango.
8 The Lord judges the world rightly; he judges the nations fairly.
Aliramula ensi mu butuukirivu, era alisalira abantu bonna emisango mu bwenkanya.
9 The Lord is a place of safety for those who are oppressed, a fortress in times of trouble.
Mukama kye kiddukiro ky’abo abanyigirizibwa; era kye kigo kyabwe mu biseera eby’akabi.
10 Those who know your nature trust in you, for you don't abandon those who come to you.
Abo abamanyi erinnya lyo, Ayi Mukama, banaakwesiganga; kubanga abakunoonya tobaleka bokka.
11 Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Zion! Tell the nations what he has done!
Muyimbe okutendereza Mukama, atudde ku ntebe ey’obwakabaka mu Sayuuni; mutegeeze amawanga gonna by’akoze.
12 He does not forget to punish murderers; he does not ignore the cries of the suffering.
Ajjukira n’awoolera eggwanga era assaayo omwoyo eri abo abanyigirizibwa.
13 Be gracious to me, Lord! Look at how my enemies are persecuting me! Grab me back from the gates of death,
Onsaasire, Ayi Mukama; otunuulire abalabe bange abangigganya, onzigye ku miryango gy’okufa.
14 so I can praise you at Zion's gates, happy that you have saved me.
Ndyoke nkutenderezenga mu lwatu mu miryango gy’omuwala wa Sayuuni: era njagulizenga mu bulokozi bwo.
15 The nations have fallen into their own pit they dug; their feet are trapped by their own net they set.
Abantu mu mawanga bagudde mu binnya bye baasima; era n’emitego gyabwe gimasuse ne gibakwasa.
16 The Lord is known for his fairness; the wicked are trapped by their own actions. (Higgaion, Selah)
Mukama yeeraze nga bw’asala emisango egy’ensonga. Omubi akwatiddwa mu mutego gw’emikono gye.
17 The wicked depart, going to the grave—all nations who turn their backs on God. (Sheol h7585)
Ababi balisuulibwa emagombe; ebyo bye bituuka ku mawanga gonna ageerabira Katonda. (Sheol h7585)
18 But the needy will not be ignored forever, the hope of those who suffer will not always be dashed.
Kubanga abali mu kwetaaga tebalyerabirwa ennaku zonna, era n’ababonyaabonyezebwa tebaliggwaamu ssuubi emirembe gyonna.
19 Stand up, Lord! Don't let human beings win! Let the nations be brought before you for judgment!
Ogolokoke, Ayi Mukama, tokkiriza muntu kuwangula; leka amawanga gasalirwe omusango mu maaso go.
20 Lord, terrify them! Let them know they are only human! (Selah)
Bakankanye n’okutya, Ayi Mukama; amawanga gonna galyoke gategeere nti bantu buntu.
