< Psalms 88 >

1 A song. A psalm of the descendants of Korah. For the music director. To the tune “Mahalath Leannoth.” A maskil by Heman the Ezrahite Lord, God of my salvation, I cry out to you day and night.
Thaburi ya Ariũ a Kora Wee Jehova, o Wee Ngai ũrĩa ũũhonokagia, ngũkayagĩra mũthenya na ũtukũ ndĩ mbere yaku.
2 Please listen to my prayer; hear my words as I plead with you.
Ihooya rĩakwa rĩrokinya harĩwe; inamĩrĩria gũtũ gwaku ũigue gũkaya gwakwa.
3 My life is full of troubles, and my death is approaching. (Sheol h7585)
Nĩgũkorwo muoyo wakwa ũiyũrĩtwo nĩ thĩĩna, na niĩ ngirie gũkua. (Sheol h7585)
4 I'm counted among the dying; a man with no strength.
Niĩ ndaranĩirio na arĩa makiriĩ gũkua; haana ta mũndũ ũtarĩ na hinya.
5 I am abandoned among the dead, lying like a corpse in the grave, forgotten and beyond your care.
Niĩ njiganĩirio na arĩa akuũ, o ta arĩa moragĩtwo magakoma mbĩrĩra, o acio ũtacookaga kũririkana, arĩa meheretio kuuma ũmenyereri-inĩ waku.
6 You have placed me in a deep pit, in the depths of darkness.
Ũnjikĩtie irima rĩrĩa iriku mũno, o kũu kũriku kũrĩ nduma ndumanu.
7 Your hostility crushes me; you are drowning me under your crashing waves. (Selah)
Mangʼũrĩ maku nĩmanditũhĩire mũno; nĩũũhubĩkanĩtie na ndiihũ ciaku ciothe.
8 You have made my friends avoid me by making me look repulsive to them. I'm trapped, I can't go out.
Nĩũnjehereirie arata akwa arĩa twendanĩte mũno, na ũgatũma nduĩke kĩndũ kĩrĩ magigi harĩo. Ndĩĩmũhingĩrĩrie ndingĩhota kũũra;
9 I've cried my eyes out begging you every day for your help, Lord, holding out my hands to you.
maitho makwa nĩmaroora nĩ kĩeha. Wee Jehova, ngũkayagĩra o mũthenya; ngũtambũrũkagĩria moko makwa.
10 Do you do miracles among the dead? Do the dead stand up to praise you? (Selah)
Andũ arĩa akuũ-rĩ, wee nĩũmonagia magegania maku? Acio makuĩte-rĩ, nĩmarahũkaga, magakũgooca?
11 Your faithful love—is it mentioned in the grave? Your trustworthiness—is it discussed in the place of destruction?
Wendo waku nĩumbũragwo mbĩrĩra-inĩ, kana wĩhokeku waku ũgakiumbũrwo Mwanangĩko-inĩ?
12 Are the wonderful things you do known in the darkness? Is your goodness known in the land of forgetfulness?
Magegania maku nĩmonagwo kũndũ kũu kwa nduma, kana ciĩko ciaku cia ũthingu ikamenyeka bũrũri-inĩ ũcio wa kĩriganĩro?
13 But I cry out to you for help; every morning I pray to you.
No nĩngũgũkaĩra ũndeithie, Wee Jehova; rũciinĩ mahooya makwa mokaga harĩwe.
14 Lord, why do you reject me? Why do you turn away from me?
Wee Jehova, nĩ kĩĩ gĩtũmĩte ũndiganĩrie na ũkaahitha ũthiũ waku?
15 I have been sick since I was young, often at death's door. I have had to bear the terrible things you've done to me. I'm in despair!
Kuuma o ũnini wakwa ndũũrĩte nyamarĩtio na ngakuhĩrĩria gĩkuũ; nĩnyamaarĩkĩte nĩ imakania ciaku, igatũma njage mwĩhoko.
16 Your anger has overcome me; the terrible things you do have destroyed me.
Mangʼũrĩ maku nĩmahubĩkanĩtie, nacio imakania ciaku ikanyananga.
17 They surround me all the time like floodwaters, swallowing me up.
Maathiũrũrũkagĩria mũthenya wothe ta mũiyũro wa maaĩ; hingĩrĩirio nĩmo na mĩena yothe.
18 You have made my family and friends avoid me. Darkness is my only friend.
Nĩũnjehereirie athiritũ akwa na arĩa nyendete; nduma nĩyo mũrata wakwa ũrĩa ũnguhĩrĩirie mũno.
