< Psalms 87 >
1 A song. A psalm of the descendants of Korah. The Lord founded the city on his holy mountain.
Thaburi ya Ariũ a Kora Nĩahaandĩte mũthingi wa itũũra rĩake igũrũ rĩa kĩrĩma kĩrĩa kĩamũre;
2 Jerusalem is the city that the Lord loves more than any other city in Israel.
Jehova nĩendete ihingo cia Zayuni gũkĩra ciikaro iria ingĩ ciothe cia Jakubu.
3 Many wonderful things are said of you, city of God! (Selah)
Maũndũ mega nĩmaragio igũrũ rĩaku, wee itũũra inene rĩa Ngai:
4 I mention Egypt and Babylon as those who know me, and in addition Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia—“this man was born there.”
“Nĩngwandĩka ũhoro wa Rahabu na wa Babuloni thĩinĩ wa arĩa manjũũĩ, Filistia o nakuo, na Turo, hamwe na Kushi, njuge atĩrĩ, ‘Ũyũ aaciarĩirwo Zayuni.’”
5 It will be said concerning Jerusalem, “Everyone was born there,” and the Most High will make it secure.
Ti-itherũ, ũhoro wa Zayuni ũkĩario nĩgũkagwetagwo atĩrĩ, “Ũyũ o na ũũrĩa maaciarĩirwo kuo, na Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno we mwene nĩagatũma gũtũũre kũrĩ kũrũmu.”
6 When the Lord registers the nations, he will write, “They were born there.” (Selah)
Jehova nĩakandĩka ibuku-inĩ rĩa kĩrĩndĩ ũũ: “Ũyũ aaciarĩirwo Zayuni.”
7 Singers and dancers alike say, “Living here I am at home.”
Nao magĩtunga nyĩmbo makaina atĩrĩ, “Ithima ciakwa ciothe irĩ thĩinĩ waku.”
