1 A prayer of David. Please listen to me, Lord! Please answer me, for I am weak and really need your help!

4 Make me happy, Lord, for I've dedicated my life to you.
Ma wʼakoa ani nnye, na wo Awurade, wo nkyɛn na mema me kra so ba.

Mɛfrɛ wo mʼahohia da mu, na wobɛgye me so.
8 There's no one like you among the “gods,” Lord. No one can do the things you do.
Ao Awurade, onyame bi nni hɔ a ɔte sɛ wo; na wɔn nnwuma biara nto wo deɛ.
9 You created all the nations, and they will come and bow down before you, Lord. They will declare how wonderful you are.
Ao Awurade, aman a woakyekyere nyinaa bɛba abɛsom wo wɔ wʼanim; wɔbɛba abɛhyɛ wo din animuonyam.
10 For you are great, and do wonderful things! Only you are God.
Woyɛ kɛseɛ, na woyɛ anwanwa nnwuma; wo nko ara ne Onyankopɔn.
11 Lord, please teach me your way, so I can depend on your trustworthiness. Make me single-minded, so I can consistently honor the kind of person you are.
Ao Awurade, kyerɛ me wʼakwan, na mɛnante wo nokorɛ mu; ma memfa mʼakoma nyinaa mma wo na masuro wo din.
12 Lord my God, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will praise your character forever.

Ɛfiri sɛ, ɔdɔ a wode dɔ me no so; woayi me afiri owuo amena mu tɔnn. (Sheol h7585)
14 God, arrogant people are attacking me, vicious people are trying to kill me. To them you count for nothing.
Ao Onyankopɔn, ahomasofoɔ ato ahyɛ me so; basabasayɛfoɔ kuo repɛ me akum me, nnipa a wɔmmfa wo nyɛ hwee no.
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to become angry, full of trustworthy love and faithfulness.

Dane wʼani hwɛ me na dom me; fa wʼahoɔden ma wʼakoa na gye wʼafenaa babarima nkwa.
17 Show me a sign that you approve of me! Those who hate me will see it, and they will be ashamed because you, Lord, have helped me.
Ma me wo papayɛ ho nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ, na mʼatamfoɔ nhunu na wɔn anim ngu ase na wo Ao Awurade, wo na woaboa me akyekye me werɛ.
