Psalms 86
1 A prayer of David. Please listen to me, Lord! Please answer me, for I am weak and really need your help!
Ein Gebet Davids. / Neige, Jahwe, dein Ohr, erhöre mich, / Denn ich bin elend und arm!
2 Don't let me die, for I am faithful to you. Save me, for I am your servant and I trust in you. You are my God.
Behüte mein Leben, denn ich bin fromm. / Hilf du, mein Gott, deinem Knechte, / Der sich auf dich verläßt!
3 Be kind to me, Lord, for I call out to you all day long.
Sei du, Adonái, mir gnädig, / Denn zu dir ruf ich den ganzen Tag!
4 Make me happy, Lord, for I've dedicated my life to you.
Deines Knechtes Seele erfreue, / Denn zu dir, Adonái, erheb ich mein Herz.
5 For you, Lord, are good; you are forgiving and full of trustworthy love for all who come to you.
Denn du, Adonái, bist gütig, verzeihest gern, / Bist reich an Gnade für alle, die zu dir rufen.
6 Lord, please listen to my prayer. Hear my call for help.
Vernimm doch, Jahwe, mein Beten; / Horch auf mein lautes Flehn!
7 When I'm in trouble I cry out to you because I know you will answer me.
Bin ich in Not, so ruf ich dich an, / Weil du mich erhörst.
8 There's no one like you among the “gods,” Lord. No one can do the things you do.
Dir, Adonái, gleicht keiner unter den Göttern, / Und deinen Werken kommt nichts gleich,
9 You created all the nations, and they will come and bow down before you, Lord. They will declare how wonderful you are.
Alle Völker, die du gemacht, sie müssen kommen, / Vor dir, Adonái, sich bücken / Und deinen Namen ehren.
10 For you are great, and do wonderful things! Only you are God.
Denn du bist groß und wundertätig, / du, du allein bist Gott.
11 Lord, please teach me your way, so I can depend on your trustworthiness. Make me single-minded, so I can consistently honor the kind of person you are.
Lehre mich, Jahwe, deinen Weg! / Dir treu und ergeben: so möchte ich wandeln. / Richte mein Herz auf das Eine: / Deinen Namen zu fürchten.
12 Lord my God, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will praise your character forever.
Danken will ich dir, Adonái, mein Gott, von ganzem Herzen — / Und deinen Namen für immer ehren.
Denn deine Huld gegen mich war reich: / Aus größter Todesgefahr hast du mich errettet. (Sheol h7585)
14 God, arrogant people are attacking me, vicious people are trying to kill me. To them you count for nothing.
Elohim, es haben sich Frevler erhoben wider mich, / Und eine Rotte von Schreckensmännern trachtet mir nach dem Leben; / Sie haben dich nicht vor Augen.
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to become angry, full of trustworthy love and faithfulness.
Aber du, Adonái, bist ein barmherziger, gnädiger Gott, / Langmütig und reich an Huld und Treu.
16 Turn to me, have mercy on me. Give me your strength, your servant; save the son of your servant-girl.
Wende dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig, / Verleih deinen Schutz deinem Knecht / Und hilf doch dem Sohn deiner Magd!
17 Show me a sign that you approve of me! Those who hate me will see it, and they will be ashamed because you, Lord, have helped me.
Tu ein Zeichen an mir zum Guten, / Daß meine Hasser voll Scham es sehn, / Weil du mir geholfen, o Jahwe, und mich getröstet.
