Psalms 84
1 For the music director. A psalm of the descendants of Korah. On the gittith. How wonderful is the place where you live, Lord Almighty!
Dura Buʼaa Faarfattootaatiif. Kan Gitiitiidhaan Faarfatamu. Faarfannaa Ilmaan Qooraahi. Yaa Waaqayyoo Waan Hunda Dandeessu, iddoon ati jiraattu akkam namatti tola!
2 I long, I ache, to be in the courts of the Lord. My mind and my body sing for joy to the living God.
Lubbuun koo oobdiiwwan Waaqayyoo hawwiti; akka malees itti gaggabdi; onneen koo fi foon koo Waaqa jiraataadhaaf ililleedhaan ni faarfatu.
3 Even a sparrow finds a home there, and a swallow builds a nest for herself where she can raise her chicks near to your altars, Lord Almighty, my king and my God.
Yaa Waaqayyoo Waan Hunda Dandeessu, Mootii koo fi Waaqa ko, iddoo aarsaa keetii biratti, dimbiitiin iddoo jireenyaa, girrisnis ofii isheetiif manʼee cuucii ishee keessa kaaʼattu argatti.
4 How happy are those who live in your house—they are always praising you! (Selah)
Warri mana kee keessa jiraatan eebbifamoo dha; isaan yeroo hundumaa si jajatuutii.
5 How happy are those whose strength is in you, those who are determined to make a pilgrimage.
Warri sirraa jabina argatan, kanneen garaa isaaniitiin karaa kee yaadan eebbifamoo dha.
6 As they walk through the Valley of Tears it becomes a spring of water; autumn rains cover it with pools.
Isaan yommuu Sulula Baakaa keessa darbanitti, iddoo sana lafa bishaan keessaa burqu godhatu; bokkaan jalqabaas eebba itti dhangalaasa.
7 They go from strength to strength, and each one will appear before God in Jerusalem.
Isaan hamma Xiyoon keessatti fuula Waaqaa duratti mulʼatanitti, jabina irraa gara jabinaatti ni darbu.
8 Lord God Almighty, please hear my prayer; please listen, God of Jacob. (Selah)
Yaa Waaqayyo, Waaqa Waan Hunda Dandeessu, kadhannaa koo dhagaʼi; yaa Waaqa Yaaqoob na dhaggeeffadhu.
9 Please God, look at our defender, look at the face of your anointed one.
Yaa Waaqayyo, gara gaachana keenyaa ilaali; fuula dibamaa kee sanaas ilaali.
10 One day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else. I'd rather stand as a doorkeeper in the house of my God than live comfortably in the homes of the wicked.
Guyyaa kuma tokko iddoo biraa jiraachuu irra, guyyaa tokko oobdii keetii irra ooluu wayya; dunkaana hamootaa keessa jiraachuu irra, eegduu balbala mana Waaqa koo taʼuu naa wayya.
11 For the Lord God is our sun and shield, and he gives us grace and honor. The Lord doesn't hold back anything good from those who do right.
Waaqayyo Waaqni aduu fi gaachanaatii; Waaqayyo surraa fi ulfina ni kenna; inni toloota waan gaarii hin dhowwatu.
12 Lord Almighty, how happy are those who trust in you.
Yaa Waaqayyoo Waan Hunda Dandeessu, namni si amanatu eebbifamaa dha.
