< Psalms 84 >
1 For the music director. A psalm of the descendants of Korah. On the gittith. How wonderful is the place where you live, Lord Almighty!
Thaburi ya Ariũ a Kora Wee Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe-rĩ, kaĩ gĩikaro gĩaku nĩ gĩthaka-ĩ!
2 I long, I ache, to be in the courts of the Lord. My mind and my body sing for joy to the living God.
Muoyo wakwa wĩriragĩria mũno, ĩĩ o na ũkoorwo nĩ hinya, nĩ ũndũ wa kwĩrirĩria nja cia Jehova; ngoro yakwa na mwĩrĩ wakwa irakaĩra Mũrungu ũrĩa ũtũũraga muoyo.
3 Even a sparrow finds a home there, and a swallow builds a nest for herself where she can raise her chicks near to your altars, Lord Almighty, my king and my God.
O na kanyoni-ka-nja nĩkoonete mũciĩ, nayo thũngũrũrũ ĩkeyonera gĩtara, harĩa ĩngĩikaria tũcui twayo, o hau hakuhĩ na kĩgongona gĩaku, Wee Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, o Wee Mũthamaki wakwa na Ngai wakwa.
4 How happy are those who live in your house—they are always praising you! (Selah)
Kũrathimwo-rĩ, nĩ andũ arĩa matũũraga nyũmba yaku; matũũraga makũgoocaga.
5 How happy are those whose strength is in you, those who are determined to make a pilgrimage.
Kũrathimwo-rĩ, nĩ andũ arĩa maheagwo hinya nĩwe, o arĩa matuĩte na ngoro ciao gũthiĩ Zayuni.
6 As they walk through the Valley of Tears it becomes a spring of water; autumn rains cover it with pools.
Rĩrĩa megũtuĩkanĩria Gĩtuamba kĩa Baka, matũmaga kũgĩe na ithima; mbura ya maguna-ngʼombe o nayo ĩkũhumbĩraga na tũria twa maaĩ.
7 They go from strength to strength, and each one will appear before God in Jerusalem.
Mathiiaga magĩkĩragĩrĩria kũgĩa na hinya, nginya o mũndũ o mũndũ agakinya mbere ya Ngai kũu Zayuni.
8 Lord God Almighty, please hear my prayer; please listen, God of Jacob. (Selah)
Igua ihooya rĩakwa, Wee Jehova Ngai-Mwene-Hinya-Wothe; thikĩrĩria, Wee Ngai wa Jakubu.
9 Please God, look at our defender, look at the face of your anointed one.
Wee Ngai, ta rora ngo iitũ; tiirĩra ũrĩa waku ũitĩrĩirie maguta gĩthiithi.
10 One day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else. I'd rather stand as a doorkeeper in the house of my God than live comfortably in the homes of the wicked.
Kaba mũthenya ũmwe nja-inĩ ciaku, gũkĩra gũikara mĩthenya ngiri handũ hangĩ o hothe; kaba ngorwo ndĩ mũrangĩri wa kĩhingo kĩa nyũmba ya Ngai wakwa, gũkĩra ndũũre thĩinĩ wa hema cia andũ arĩa aaganu.
11 For the Lord God is our sun and shield, and he gives us grace and honor. The Lord doesn't hold back anything good from those who do right.
Nĩgũkorwo Jehova Ngai nĩ riũa na ngo; Jehova nĩarĩtũtugaga na agatwĩka maũndũ mega; arĩa mĩthiĩre yao ĩtarĩ ũcuuke ndarĩ ũndũ mwega angĩmaima.
12 Lord Almighty, how happy are those who trust in you.
Wee Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, kũrathimwo nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũkwĩhokaga.
