< Psalms 77 >
1 For Jeduthun, the music director. A psalm of Asaph. I cry out to God for help—I even shout. If only he would listen to me!
Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔde ma Yedutun. Asaf dwom. Mesu mefrɛɛ Onyankopɔn srɛɛ mmoa; mesu mefrɛɛ no sɛ ɔntie me.
2 When I was in trouble I prayed to the Lord. All night long I stretched out my hands to him in prayer but nothing brought me any comfort.
Ɛberɛ a mewɔ ahohiahia mu no, mehwehwɛɛ Awurade; metrɛɛ me nsa a ɛmpa aba mu anadwo na me kra ampene sɛ wɔbɛkyekye ne werɛ.
3 I thought about God, groaning loudly; I meditated on him, but I was discouraged. (Selah)
Ao Onyankopɔn mekaee wo, na mesii apinie; medwendweneeɛ, na me honhom tɔɔ piti.
4 You stop me going to sleep; I'm so upset I can't even talk.
Woamma mʼani ankum; amanehunu dodoɔ enti, mantumi ankasa.
5 I think of the old days, years ago.
Medwenee nna a atwam no ho, teteete mfeɛ no ho;
6 I remember the songs I sung in the night. I meditate and ask myself:
mekaee me nnwom a na meto no anadwo. Mʼakoma dwenee ho na me honhom bisaa sɛ:
7 Has the Lord given up on me forever? Won't he ever be pleased with me again?
“Enti, Awurade bɛpo yɛn daa? Ɔrenhunu yɛn mmɔbɔ bio anaa?
8 Has his trustworthy love disappeared forever? Have his promises permanently ended?
Nʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da atu ayera koraa anaa? Na ne bɔhyɛ no, amma mu koraa anaa?
9 Has God forgotten to be kind? Has he angrily slammed the door shut on his compassion? (Selah)
Onyankopɔn werɛ afiri sɛ ɔbɛyɛ mmɔborɔhunufoɔ anaa? Abufuo enti ne yam nhyehye no bio anaa?”
10 Then I said, “This is what hurts me the most: the Most High doesn't treat me the way he used to.”
Afei, medwenee sɛ, “Onyankopɔn Ɔsorosoroni, deɛ ɛhyɛ me kra so ne sɛ, wommfa wo tete nsa nifa no mmoa yɛn bio.”
11 I remember what you have done, Lord; I remember all the wonderful things you did long ago.
Mɛkae nneɛma a Awurade ayɛ; aane, mɛkae wʼanwanwadeɛ a woyɛɛ tete no.
12 I will think about all you have accomplished; I will think deeply about how you have acted.
Mɛdwene wo nnwuma nyinaa ho na masusu wo nneyɛɛ akɛseɛ nyinaa ho.
13 God, your ways are holy; is any god as great as you?
Ao Onyankopɔn, wʼakwan yɛ kronn. Onyame bɛn na ɔso sɛ yɛn Onyankopɔn?
14 You are the God who does wonderful things! You have revealed your power to the nations.
Wone Onyankopɔn a woyɛ anwanwadeɛ; wokyerɛ wo tumi wɔ aman mu.
15 Through your strength you saved your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
Wode wo tumi nsa no gyee wo nkurɔfoɔ, Yakob ne Yosef asefoɔ no.
16 When the waters saw you, God, when they looked they trembled! Yes, they shook down to the very depths!
Ao Onyankopɔn, nsuo no hunuu wo, nsuo no hunuu wo na wɔpopoeɛ; ebunu no mpo ho wosoeɛ.
17 The clouds poured rain down; the skies crashed with thunder; your lightning flew like arrows.
Omununkum tɔɔ nsuo, aprannaa gyegyee wɔ soro; na wo bɛmma twaa ogya dii akɔneaba.
18 Your thunder rumbled from the whirlwind; lightning flashes lit up the world; the earth quaked and shook.
Wʼaprannaa boboom wɔ twahoframa no mu, wʼanyinam hyerɛn ewiase; asase popoeɛ na ɛwosoeɛ.
19 Your way led through the sea; your path passed through the deep sea; yet your footprints were invisible.
Wode wo kwan faa ɛpo mu, wode faa nsuo kɛseɛ mu, nanso wɔanhunu wʼanammɔn.
20 You led your people like a flock, shepherded by Moses and Aaron.
Wonam Mose ne Aaron so dii wo nkurɔfoɔ anim sɛ nnwankuo.
