Psalms 75

1 For the music director. A psalm of Asaph. According to “Do Not Destroy.” A song. We thank you, God, we thank you because you are close beside us. People tell about the wonderful things you have done.

Gracias te damos, oh ʼElohim, te damos gracias, Porque tu Nombre está cerca. Los hombres declaran tus maravillosas obras.

2 God says, “When the time I have decided comes, I will judge fairly.

Cuando Yo selecciono un tiempo determinado, Soy Yo Quien juzga con equidad.

3 When the earth quakes, and all its inhabitants tremble, I am the one who holds it steady. (Selah)

Cuando se disuelva la tierra y todos los que viven en ella, Yo mismo sostendré sus columnas. (Selah)

4 To those who boast I say, ‘Don't boast!’ I tell the wicked, ‘Don't be proud!’

Dije a los jactanciosos: No se jacten. Y a los perversos: No alcen su cuerno,

5 No, don't be proud and arrogant, insulting heaven.”

Ni levanten su cuerno en alto, Ni hablen con orgullo insolente.

6 For no one, from the east to the west, or from the wilderness, should think so highly of themselves.

Porque ni del oriente ni del occidente, Ni del desierto viene la exaltación,

7 God is the one who decides—who he will bring down and who he will lift up.

Sino ʼElohim es el Juez. A éste humilla y a aquél enaltece.

8 For the Lord has a cup in his hand, full of bubbling wine mixed with spices. He pours it out, and all the wicked drink it deeply, down to the last drop.

Hay una copa en la mano de Yavé, Y el vino fermenta. Está bien mezclado y lo derramará. Y tendrá que ser sorbido hasta sus sedimentos. ¡Ciertamente todos los perversos de la tierra lo beberán!

9 But I will speak about you forever. I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

Pero yo lo declararé para siempre. Cantaré salmos al ʼElohim de Jacob.

10 For God says, “I will break the power of the wicked; but I will give my support to those who do what is good.”

Él quebrará el cuerno de los perversos, Pero el cuerno de los justos será exaltado.
