Psalms 74
1 A psalm (maskil) of Asaph. God, why have you rejected us? Is it forever? Why does your anger burn so hot against the sheep of your own field?
Yon Sòm Asaph O Bondye, poukisa Ou te rejte nou pou tout tan? Poukisa kòlè Ou fè lafimen kont mouton patiraj Ou an?
2 Remember the people you made your own long ago, the tribe you redeemed and made your own. Remember too Mount Zion, the place where you live.
Sonje asanble Ou a, ke Ou te achte depi tan ansyen yo, sa yo ke Ou te rachte pou fè tribi eritaj pa Ou: Mòn Sion (sila) a, kote Ou te abite.
3 Come and walk through the complete devastation. The enemy has totally destroyed your Temple.
Vire pa Ou yo pou rive kote mazi ki kraze nèt yo, kote lènmi a fin fè tout mechanste li anndan sanktiyè a.
4 The enemy shouted in triumph right where you met with us. There they set up their war banners as signs of their victory.
Advèsè Ou yo te vin anraje nan mitan kote asanble Ou a. Yo fin monte pwòp drapo yo kon avètisman an.
5 They acted like men chopping down a forest with axes.
Yo aji kòn yon moun k ap leve rach li nan mitan yon forè bwa.
6 With axes and hammers they smashed in the carved wooden panels.
Epi koulye a, tout travay skilpti li yo, yo kraze ak rach avèk mato.
7 Then they set fire to your Temple, burning it to the ground. They defiled the place where you live, the place that bears your name.
Yo fin brile sanktiyè Ou a jis rive atè. Yo te souye abitasyon ki fèt nan non Ou an.
8 They said to themselves, “Let's destroy it all!” So they burned down every place where God was worshiped throughout the land.
Yo te pale nan kè yo: “Annou kraze yo nèt.” Yo te brile tout kote asanble Bondye nan tout peyi a.
9 We no longer see any signs. There are no prophets left. And no one among us knows how long this will last.
Nou paz ankò wè mèvèy yo. Nanpwen pwofèt ankò. Ni pa genyen pami nou ki konnen konbyen de tan sa va dire.
10 How long will the enemy ridicule you, God? Will they insult your character forever?
Konbyen de tan, O Bondye, advèsè a va moke nou ak mo brile? Èske se pou tout tan lènmi an va giyonnen non Ou konsa?
11 Why do you hold back from doing something? Take action and destroy them!
Poukisa Ou retire men Ou? Sitou men dwat Ou? Fè l parèt sòti anndan lestonmak Ou pou detwi yo!
12 But you, God, are our king from long ago. You have saved us many times in the land.
Men Bondye se Wa mwen depi nan tan ansyen yo. Li te fè zèv delivrans nan mitan latè.
13 You were the one who split apart the sea by your strength; you broke the heads of the sea monsters.
Ou te divize lanmè a ak fòs kouraj Ou. Ou te kraze tèt gwo bèt lanmè yo.
14 You were the one who crushed the heads of Leviathan, and you gave its body to the desert animals to eat.
Ou te kraze tèt Levyatan an. Ou te bay li kon manje pou bèt sovaj.
15 You were the one who made springs and rivers flow with water. You made permanent rivers dry up.
Ou te fè pete sous ki koule dlo fre. Ou te seche gwo rivyè pwisan yo.
16 You created the day, and also the night; you made the moon and the sun.
Jou yo se pou Ou, anplis, nwit yo se pou Ou. Ou te prepare limyè a avèk solèy la.
17 You set the boundaries of the earth; you made summer and winter.
Ou te etabli tout lizyè latè yo. Ou te fè sezon ete ak sezon livè.
18 So keep in mind how the enemy ridiculed you, Lord, and how irreverent people insulted your reputation.
Sonje bagay sa a, O SENYÈ, ke lènmi yo te meprize Ou, e yon pèp ki plen ak foli te refize non Ou.
19 Don't let wild animals kill your turtledoves! Don't abandon your people forever!
Pa livre nanm a toutrèl Ou a bèt sovaj yo. Pa bliye lavi aflije Ou yo pou tout tan.
20 Remember your promises in the agreement, because the land is full of dark places and violence.
Konsidere akò Ou, paske kote fènwa yo nan tout latè a, plen ak abitasyon vyolans yo.
21 Don't let those who suffer be mistreated again. Let the poor and needy praise you for you who are.
Pa kite oprime yo retounen nan gwo wont. Kite aflije yo ak malere yo louwe Non Ou.
22 Stand up, God, and plead your case. Don't forget how these foolish people insulted you all the time.
Leve, O Bondye! Plede koz Ou! Sonje jan lòm plen foli meprize Ou tout lajounen.
23 Don't ignore what your enemies have said, for their loud accusations against you are getting worse and worse!
Pa bliye vwa advèsè Ou yo. Gwo zen a (sila) ki leve kont Ou yo monte tout tan, san rete.
