< Psalms 72 >

1 A psalm of Solomon. God, please give the king fairness, and give the king's son the ability to do what's right.
Salomo dwom. Ao Onyankopɔn, fa wʼatɛntenenee ma ɔhene no, na fa wo tenenee ma ɔhene babarima.
2 May he rightly judge your people, and may he be fair to the poor.
Ɔde tenenee bɛbu wo nkurɔfoɔ atɛn, ɔbɛbu wo nkurɔfoɔ a wɔrehunu amane no atɛntenenee.
3 May the mountains bring peace to the people, and the hills bring goodness.
Mmepɔ no de yiedie bɛbrɛ nnipa no, nkokoɔ no de tenenee bɛba.
4 May he defend the poor and save their children, may he crush those who oppress them.
Ɔbɛko ama nnipa no mu amanehunufoɔ na woagye wɔn a wɔnni bie mma nkwa; ɔbɛdwerɛ nhyɛsofoɔ.
5 May they respect him as long as the sun and the moon shine above, for all generations.
Owia ne ɔsrane da so wɔ hɔ yi wɔbɛsuro wo awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ nyinaa mu.
6 May his reign be like rain falling on new grass, like showers that water the earth.
Ɔbɛyɛ sɛ osuo a ɛtɔ gu asase a wɔadɔ soɔ so, te sɛ obosuo a ɛgugu asase so.
7 May those who live right prosper under his rule; may there be great prosperity until the moon is no more.
Teneneefoɔ bɛnyini frɔmfrɔm wɔ ne berɛ so; yiedie bɛbu so kɔsi da a ɔsrane nni hɔ bio.
8 May he rule from sea to sea, from the river to the ends of the earth.
Ɔbɛdi ɔhene afiri ɛpo akɔsi ɛpo afiri Asubɔnten Efrata akɔsi asase ano.
9 Desert tribes will kneel before him; and his enemies will bite the dust.
Ɛserɛ so mmusua bɛkoto nʼanim na nʼatamfoɔ adi mfuturo.
10 The kings of Tarshish and the islands will bring him tribute; the kings of Sheba and Seba will present him with gifts.
Tarsis ne mpoano ahemfo a wɔwɔ akyirikyiri de apeatoɔ bɛbrɛ no; Saba ne Seba ahemfo de ayɛyɛdeɛ bɛbrɛ no.
11 Every king will bow down to him; every nation will serve him.
Ahemfo nyinaa bɛkoto no amanaman nyinaa bɛsom no.
12 He will help the poor when they cry out to him, and help those who are suffering that have no one to support them.
Na ɔbɛgye mmɔborɔfoɔ a wɔsu frɛ no, ne amanehunufoɔ a wɔnni ɔboafoɔ.
13 He has pity on the poor and needy—he saves their lives!
Ɔbɛhunu wɔn a wɔayɛ mmrɛ ne ahiafoɔ mmɔbɔ na wagye ahiafoɔ nkwa.
14 He rescues them from violence and oppression, for their lives mean so much to him.
Ɔbɛgye wɔn afiri nhyɛsoɔ ne akakabensɛm mu, ɛfiri sɛ wɔn mogya som bo wɔ nʼanim.
15 May he live long! May the gold from Sheba be given to him. May people always pray for him and bless him all day long.
Ɔhene nkwa so! Ma wɔmfa sikakɔkɔɔ mfiri Seba mmrɛ no. Ma nnipa mmɔ mpaeɛ mma no na wɔnhyira no da mu nyinaa.
16 May there be plenty of grain in the land, even growing on mountain-tops. May the fruit on the trees sway like the trees of Lebanon. May the people in the city flourish like grass in a field.
Aburoo mmu so wɔ asase no so nyinaa; nnuane mmu so wɔ nkokoɔ so, ma nʼaba mmɔ sɛ Lebanon; na ɛnyini sɛ mfuo so serɛ.
17 May his fame live forever, may it last as long as the sun. May all nations be blessed through him, and may they praise him.
Ne din bɛtena hɔ daa; ɛntena hɔ nkyɛre sɛ owia. Wɔbɛfa ne so ahyira amanaman no, na wɔbɛfrɛ no nhyira.
18 Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who is the only one who can do such fantastic things!
Nhyira nka Awurade Onyankopɔn, Israel Onyankopɔn! Ɔno nko ara na ɔyɛ anwanwadeɛ.
19 Praise his wonderful nature forever! May the whole world be full of his glory! Amen and amen!
Nhyira nka ne din a animuonyam ahyɛ no ma no daa daa. Ma nʼanimuonyam nhyɛ ewiase nyinaa ma.
