< Psalms 72 >

1 A psalm of Solomon. God, please give the king fairness, and give the king's son the ability to do what's right.
Zabbuli ya Sulemaani. Ayi Katonda, kabaka omuwe okuba omwenkanya, ne mutabani we omuwe obutuukirivu,
2 May he rightly judge your people, and may he be fair to the poor.
alyoke alamulenga abantu bo mu butuukirivu, n’abaavu abalamulenga mu mazima.
3 May the mountains bring peace to the people, and the hills bring goodness.
Ensozi zireeterenga abantu bo okukulaakulana n’obusozi bubaleetere obutuukirivu.
4 May he defend the poor and save their children, may he crush those who oppress them.
Anaalwaniriranga abaavu, n’atereeza abaana b’abo abeetaaga, n’omujoozi n’amusaanyaawo.
5 May they respect him as long as the sun and the moon shine above, for all generations.
Abantu bakutyenga ng’enjuba n’omwezi gye bikoma okwaka mu mirembe gyonna.
6 May his reign be like rain falling on new grass, like showers that water the earth.
Abeere ng’enkuba bw’etonnya ku muddo ogusaliddwa, afaanane ng’oluwandaggirize olufukirira ensi.
7 May those who live right prosper under his rule; may there be great prosperity until the moon is no more.
Obutuukirivu bweyongere nnyo mu mulembe gwe, n’okufuga kwe kujjule emirembe okutuusa omwezi lwe gulikoma okwaka!
8 May he rule from sea to sea, from the river to the ends of the earth.
Afugenga okuva ku nnyanja okutuuka ku nnyanja, n’okuva ku mugga Fulaati okutuuka ku nkomerero z’ensi!
9 Desert tribes will kneel before him; and his enemies will bite the dust.
Ebika eby’omu malungu bimugonderenga, n’abalabe be bamujeemulukukire beekulukuunye ne mu nfuufu.
10 The kings of Tarshish and the islands will bring him tribute; the kings of Sheba and Seba will present him with gifts.
Bakabaka b’e Talusiisi n’ab’oku bizinga eby’ewala bamuwenga omusolo; bakabaka b’e Syeba n’ab’e Seeba bamutonerenga ebirabo.
11 Every king will bow down to him; every nation will serve him.
Bakabaka bonna banaavuunamanga mu maaso ge; amawanga gonna ganaamuweerezanga.
12 He will help the poor when they cry out to him, and help those who are suffering that have no one to support them.
Kubanga anaawonyanga eyeetaaga bw’anaamukoowoolanga, n’omwavu ne kateeyamba ataliiko mwasirizi.
13 He has pity on the poor and needy—he saves their lives!
Anaasaasiranga omunafu n’omwavu; n’awonya obulamu bwa kateeyamba.
14 He rescues them from violence and oppression, for their lives mean so much to him.
Anaabanunulanga mu mikono gy’omujoozi n’abawonya obukambwe bwe; kubanga obulamu bwabwe bwa muwendo mungi gy’ali.
15 May he live long! May the gold from Sheba be given to him. May people always pray for him and bless him all day long.
Awangaale! Aleeterwe zaabu okuva e Syeba. Abantu bamwegayiririrenga era bamusabirenga emikisa buli lunaku.
16 May there be plenty of grain in the land, even growing on mountain-tops. May the fruit on the trees sway like the trees of Lebanon. May the people in the city flourish like grass in a field.
Eŋŋaano ebale nnyingi nnyo mu nsi, ebikke n’entikko z’ensozi. Ebibala byayo byale ng’eby’e Lebanooni; n’abantu baale mu bibuga ng’omuddo ogw’oku ttale.
17 May his fame live forever, may it last as long as the sun. May all nations be blessed through him, and may they praise him.
Erinnya lye libeerengawo ennaku zonna, n’okwatiikirira kwe kube kwa nkalakkalira ng’enjuba. Amawanga gonna ganaaweebwanga omukisa ku lu lw’erinnya lye, era abantu bonna bamuyitenga aweereddwa omukisa.
18 Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who is the only one who can do such fantastic things!
Mukama Katonda agulumizibwe, Katonda wa Isirayiri, oyo yekka akola ebyewuunyisa.
19 Praise his wonderful nature forever! May the whole world be full of his glory! Amen and amen!
Erinnya lye ekkulu ligulumizibwenga emirembe n’emirembe! Ensi yonna ejjule ekitiibwa kye.
