< Psalms 72 >

1 A psalm of Solomon. God, please give the king fairness, and give the king's son the ability to do what's right.
Mar Solomon. Sidh ne ruoth adiera mari, yaye Nyasaye, sidh ne wuod ruoth timni makare.
2 May he rightly judge your people, and may he be fair to the poor.
Obiro ngʼado ne jou bura makare, obiro kelo adiera ne jou masandore.
3 May the mountains bring peace to the people, and the hills bring goodness.
Gode biro kelo mwandu ne ji, kendo thuche biro kelo olemb tim makare.
4 May he defend the poor and save their children, may he crush those who oppress them.
Obiro chwako joma odhier manie dier ji kendo obiro reso nyithind joma ochando; to thiro ji, to obiro tieko pep.
5 May they respect him as long as the sun and the moon shine above, for all generations.
Obiro siko ka wangʼ chiengʼ, obiro siko ka dwe e tienge duto.
6 May his reign be like rain falling on new grass, like showers that water the earth.
Obiro chalo gi koth machwe e lum mongʼadi maber kendo gi kodh ajiki mamiyo piny ngʼich.
7 May those who live right prosper under his rule; may there be great prosperity until the moon is no more.
E ndalone joma kare biro dhi maber, kendo kwe biro bedo mogundho nyaka chop dwe lal nono.
8 May he rule from sea to sea, from the river to the ends of the earth.
Obiro bedo gi loch chakre nam nyaka nam kendo kochakore Aora maduongʼ nyaka kuma piny ogikie.
9 Desert tribes will kneel before him; and his enemies will bite the dust.
Ogendini modak e piny ongoro biro kulorene kendo wasike biro nangʼo lowo gi dhogi.
10 The kings of Tarshish and the islands will bring him tribute; the kings of Sheba and Seba will present him with gifts.
Ruodhi mag Tarshish kod mag dho nembe man maboyo biro miye gik moko, kendo ruodhi mag Sheba gi mag Seba biro kelone mich.
11 Every king will bow down to him; every nation will serve him.
Ruodhi duto biro kulorene kendo ogendini duto biro tiyone.
12 He will help the poor when they cry out to him, and help those who are suffering that have no one to support them.
Nimar obiro konyo joma ochando maywagore, jogo modhier maonge gi jakony.
13 He has pity on the poor and needy—he saves their lives!
Obiro kecho joma ok nyal gi joma ochando kendo obiro reso ngima joma ochando.
14 He rescues them from violence and oppression, for their lives mean so much to him.
Obiro gologi e dich modigigo kendo e timbe mahundu, nimar okwano rembgi ka gima nengone tek.
15 May he live long! May the gold from Sheba be given to him. May people always pray for him and bless him all day long.
Mad odag amingʼa! Mad kelne dhahabu moa Sheba. Mad ji duto sik ka lamone kendo ka gwedhe odiechiengʼ duto.
16 May there be plenty of grain in the land, even growing on mountain-tops. May the fruit on the trees sway like the trees of Lebanon. May the people in the city flourish like grass in a field.
Mad cham bed mangʼeny e piny duto, bende gikwak nyaka wi godo matindo duto. Mad olembene ol mathoth ka Lebanon, kendo mad onyagi ka lum manie pap.
17 May his fame live forever, may it last as long as the sun. May all nations be blessed through him, and may they praise him.
Mad nyinge sik nyaka chiengʼ kendo mad odhi nyime ka wangʼ chiengʼ. Ogendini duto ibiro gwedhi gi gweth moa kuomi kendo gibiro luongi ni ngʼat mogwedhi.
18 Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who is the only one who can do such fantastic things!
Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel, mondo oyud opak, en kende ema otimo gik miwuoro.
19 Praise his wonderful nature forever! May the whole world be full of his glory! Amen and amen!
