Psalms 7
1 A psalm (shiggaion) of David, which he sang to the Lord concerning Cush, from the tribe of Benjamin. Lord my God, you are my protection. Save me from those who persecute me; please rescue me!
ベニヤミンびとクシのことについてダビデが主にむかってうたったシガヨンの歌 わが神、主よ、わたしはあなたに寄り頼みます。どうかすべての追い迫る者からわたしを救い、わたしをお助けください。
2 Otherwise they will tear me apart like a lion, ripping me to pieces with no one to save me.
さもないと彼らは、ししのように、わたしをかき裂き、助ける者の来ないうちに、引いて行くでしょう。
3 If I have done what I'm accused of, if my hands are guilty,
わが神、主よ、もしわたしがこの事を行ったならば、もしわたしの手によこしまな事があるならば、
4 If I have paid back a friend with evil, if I have robbed my enemy for no reason,
もしわたしの友に悪をもって報いたことがあり、ゆえなく、敵のものを略奪したことがあるならば、
5 Then let my enemies chase me down; let them trample me in the dust and drag my reputation through the dirt. (Selah)
敵にわたしを追い捕えさせ、わたしの命を地に踏みにじらせ、わたしの魂をちりにゆだねさせてください。 (セラ)
6 Stand up, Lord, in your anger, rise up against the fury of my enemies; wake up, Lord, and bring me justice!
主よ、怒りをもって立ち、わたしの敵の憤りにむかって立ちあがり、わたしのために目をさましてください。あなたはさばきを命じられました。
7 Bring together the nations before you; rule them from your throne on high.
もろもろの民をあなたのまわりにつどわせ、その上なる高みくらにおすわりください。
8 The Lord judges all people. Defend me, Lord, because I do what is right, because of my integrity.
主はもろもろの民をさばかれます。主よ、わたしの義と、わたしにある誠実とに従って、わたしをさばいてください。
9 Please bring an end to the evil done by the wicked; vindicate those who do good, for you are the God of right who examines hearts and minds.
どうか悪しき者の悪を断ち、正しき者を堅く立たせてください。義なる神よ、あなたは人の心と思いとを調べられます。
10 The Most High God is my defense, the one who saves those who live right.
わたしを守る盾は神である。神は心の直き者を救われる。
11 God is a fair judge who is always hostile to evil.
神は義なるさばきびと、日ごとに憤りを起される神である。
12 If people do not change their minds, he will sharpen his sword. He has bent and strung his bow.
もし人が悔い改めないならば、神はそのつるぎをとぎ、その弓を張って構え、
13 He has prepared weapons of death, he has his flaming arrows ready.
また死に至らせる武器を備え、その矢を火矢とされる。
14 See how the wicked conceive evil! They are pregnant with trouble. They give birth to dishonesty.
見よ、悪しき者は邪悪をはらみ、害毒をやどし、偽りを生む。
15 They dig a deep hole to catch people, but then fall into it themselves.
彼は穴を掘って、それを深くし、みずから作った穴に陥る。
16 The trouble they cause rebounds to hit them on the head; their violence against others comes down on their own skulls.
その害毒は自分のかしらに帰り、その強暴は自分のこうべに下る。
17 I will thank the Lord because he does what is right; I will sing praises to the name of the Lord Most High.
わたしは主にむかって、その義にふさわしい感謝をささげ、いと高き者なる主の名をほめ歌うであろう。
