< Psalms 7 >
1 A psalm (shiggaion) of David, which he sang to the Lord concerning Cush, from the tribe of Benjamin. Lord my God, you are my protection. Save me from those who persecute me; please rescue me!
O! Yehowa, nye Mawu, wòe mesi tso, xɔ nam, eye nàɖem tso ame siwo katã le yonyeme tim la ƒe asi me.
2 Otherwise they will tear me apart like a lion, ripping me to pieces with no one to save me.
3 If I have done what I'm accused of, if my hands are guilty,
O! Yehowa, nye Mawu, ne mewɔ nu sia, eye vɔ̃ lé ɖe nye asiwo ŋu,
4 If I have paid back a friend with evil, if I have robbed my enemy for no reason,
ne mewɔ nu vɔɖi ɖe ame si li kplim le ŋutifafa me ŋuti alo meda adzo nye futɔ naneke mawɔmawɔtɔe la,
5 Then let my enemies chase me down; let them trample me in the dust and drag my reputation through the dirt. (Selah)
ekema na nye futɔ nati yonyeme, eye eƒe asi nasu dzinye; na be wòafanyam ɖe anyigba, eye wòana matsi ke me adɔ. (Sela)
6 Stand up, Lord, in your anger, rise up against the fury of my enemies; wake up, Lord, and bring me justice!
O! Yehowa, tso, le wò dziku me; tso ɖe nye futɔwo ƒe nyanyra ŋuti. Nyɔ, nye Mawu, ne nàɖo ʋɔnu dzɔdzɔe dɔdrɔ̃ anyi.
7 Bring together the nations before you; rule them from your throne on high.
Na be amehawo naƒo ƒu ɖe ŋuwò. Ɖu fia ɖe wo dzi tso dziƒo;
8 The Lord judges all people. Defend me, Lord, because I do what is right, because of my integrity.
na be Yehowa nadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu dukɔ la. O! Yehowa, tso afia nam le nye dzɔdzɔenyenye ta, O! Dziƒoʋĩtɔ, tso afia nam le nye nuteƒewɔwɔ ta.
9 Please bring an end to the evil done by the wicked; vindicate those who do good, for you are the God of right who examines hearts and minds.
O! Mawu dzɔdzɔetɔ, ame si dzroa susuwo kple dziwo me, na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔwɔ nu natso, eye nàna dedinɔnɔ ame dzɔdzɔewo.
10 The Most High God is my defense, the one who saves those who live right.
Nye akpoxɔnue nye Mawu Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la, ame si ɖea ame si dza le eƒe dzi me.
11 God is a fair judge who is always hostile to evil.
12 If people do not change their minds, he will sharpen his sword. He has bent and strung his bow.
Nu metia kɔ nɛ o, anyre eƒe yi, eye wòavu eƒe dati me.
13 He has prepared weapons of death, he has his flaming arrows ready.
14 See how the wicked conceive evil! They are pregnant with trouble. They give birth to dishonesty.
Ame si fɔ nu vɔ̃ɖi ƒe fu, eye dzɔgbevɔ̃e zu fu wòfɔ la, adzi beble ƒe vi.
15 They dig a deep hole to catch people, but then fall into it themselves.
Ame si ɖe ʋe, heku eme wògoglo nyuie la age dze ʋe si eya ŋutɔ ɖe la me.
16 The trouble they cause rebounds to hit them on the head; their violence against others comes down on their own skulls.
Dzɔgbevɔ̃e si wòhe vɛ la atrɔ abali ɖe eya ŋutɔ ŋuti, eye eƒe ŋutasesẽ atrɔ ava eya ŋutɔ ƒe ta dzi.
17 I will thank the Lord because he does what is right; I will sing praises to the name of the Lord Most High.
