< Psalms 7 >

1 A psalm (shiggaion) of David, which he sang to the Lord concerning Cush, from the tribe of Benjamin. Lord my God, you are my protection. Save me from those who persecute me; please rescue me!
O Pakai ka Pathen eihoidam din nangma kahin belle. Eipedoh a pang hoa kon’in neihoidohsah’in, neihuhdoh’in.
2 Otherwise they will tear me apart like a lion, ripping me to pieces with no one to save me.
Achuti loule panpi ding bei a kaum a, keipi bahkai-jin mi abolset banga eiboset uva, ahal halla eibotel diu ahi.
3 If I have done what I'm accused of, if my hands are guilty,
O Pakai, Ka-Pathen keiman thil suhkhel kaneija, thildihlou kana tohdoh khah’a,
4 If I have paid back a friend with evil, if I have robbed my enemy for no reason,
Lungmonga kachenkhom pi khat chonphatlouna kalethuh a, ajehbeija kagalmi kanchom khah’a ahileh,
5 Then let my enemies chase me down; let them trample me in the dust and drag my reputation through the dirt. (Selah)
Kagal mite khut-ah neipedoh jeng in lang kahin na lajengu hen, amahon tolla eichotpha jeng uhen chule kaloupi najouse bon lah’a kaithang jeng-u hen. (Selah)
6 Stand up, Lord, in your anger, rise up against the fury of my enemies; wake up, Lord, and bring me justice!
O Pakai, lunghan in hungthoudoh’in, Doumit melpu kagalmite jeh in nang hung kichoisang in; Chule hung kipatdoh’in ka-Pathen nathutan dihtah chu hinpolut in.
7 Bring together the nations before you; rule them from your throne on high.
Namasangah chitin namtin akikhom soh hen: Ama ho chunga namun dih tah chu hin kimusah kit in.
8 The Lord judges all people. Defend me, Lord, because I do what is right, because of my integrity.
Pakai chu chitin namtin ho thu atan ahi: Kachondih naho nei phondoh peh tan, O Pakai, ajeh chu keiman them mo na kanei poi O hatchungnung.
9 Please bring an end to the evil done by the wicked; vindicate those who do good, for you are the God of right who examines hearts and minds.
Miphalouho thildihlou bolna kichai sah tan, chule michonphaho chu domsangin. Ajeh chu nangman mihem lungthim gilsung ve Pathen dihtah chu nahi.
10 The Most High God is my defense, the one who saves those who live right.
Pathen hi kalum’a pang ahin, alungthim dihle kitahho chu ahuhhing jin ahi.
11 God is a fair judge who is always hostile to evil.
Pathen hi thutan dihtah ahin, niseh’in miphalou chunga alung hangjingin ahi.
12 If people do not change their minds, he will sharpen his sword. He has bent and strung his bow.
Mihemkhat chu akisih louva ahileh, Pathen in achemjam kinol hem intin, athalpi kaosa akoijing ahi.
13 He has prepared weapons of death, he has his flaming arrows ready.
Aman thina manchah gimneitah chu kigot intin athalpi meikou chu akapding ahi.
14 See how the wicked conceive evil! They are pregnant with trouble. They give birth to dishonesty.
Miphalou hon setna avop un, umhelna le thilphalou va agaiun, jouthu ho ahinpen doh sah jiu ve.
15 They dig a deep hole to catch people, but then fall into it themselves.
Amahon mi lhahlutna dingin kotong thuhtah alaijiuvin, ahinlah amaho joh alhalut jiuvin ahi.
16 The trouble they cause rebounds to hit them on the head; their violence against others comes down on their own skulls.
Midia set na abol hou chu amaho angsung joh in achuhjin ahi. Michunga chudinga thilse agon houchu amaho luchunga joh achujin ahi.
17 I will thank the Lord because he does what is right; I will sing praises to the name of the Lord Most High.
Keiman Pakai chu akitahna jeh’in thangvah ing-ting, keiman Pakai hatchungnung min chu kathangvah ding ahi.
