< Psalms 7 >

1 A psalm (shiggaion) of David, which he sang to the Lord concerning Cush, from the tribe of Benjamin. Lord my God, you are my protection. Save me from those who persecute me; please rescue me!
Aw Bawipa ka Khawsa, nang awh kai thuk nyng; kai anik hquutkhqi kut khui awhkawng ni hul lah;
2 Otherwise they will tear me apart like a lion, ripping me to pieces with no one to save me.
U ingawm ama ni hul awhtaw samthyyn amyihna cekkhqi ing ni phu vit vit kawm uh.
3 If I have done what I'm accused of, if my hands are guilty,
Aw Bawipa ka Khawsa, ve a them sai nawh ka kut ve a thawlh vek awhtaw -
4 If I have paid back a friend with evil, if I have robbed my enemy for no reason,
Kai ingqawi kang qoep pyi thlang venawh them che ka sai, am awhtaw a sawhqat na ka qaal a them ce ka muk peek awhtaw;
5 Then let my enemies chase me down; let them trample me in the dust and drag my reputation through the dirt. (Selah)
ka qaal ing ni hquut pha seitaw; ka hqingnaak ce dek awh leh nawh dekvai lak awh ni ih sak seh.
6 Stand up, Lord, in your anger, rise up against the fury of my enemies; wake up, Lord, and bring me justice!
AW Bawipa, kawso doena tho nawhtaw; ka qaalkhqi ak kawsonaak ce tuk lah. Ka Khawsa hqyng nawhtaw awih thym kqawn lah.
7 Bring together the nations before you; rule them from your throne on high.
Thlangkqeng ak cunkyng ing nang ce nik chung khoep lah seh. Hun sang nakawng cekkhqi ce uk lah;
8 The Lord judges all people. Defend me, Lord, because I do what is right, because of my integrity.
Bawipa ing thlangkhqi ce awi deng lah seh. Aw Bawipa sawsang soeih, ka dyngnaak ingkaw ka leeknaak amyihna, nang ing awi ni deng lah.
9 Please bring an end to the evil done by the wicked; vindicate those who do good, for you are the God of right who examines hearts and minds.
Aw ak dyng Khawsa, thlang ak kawlung kawpoek ak chingkung, thlak che khawboe seetnaak ce dyt sak nawhtaw thlakdyng ce loet sak lah.
10 The Most High God is my defense, the one who saves those who live right.
Kai a phuhqa taw sawsang soeih Khawsa ni, anih ingtaw kawlung ak dyngkhqi ce hul hy.
11 God is a fair judge who is always hostile to evil.
Khawsa taw ak dyng awidengkung na awm nawh, myngawi kawsonaak ak dang sakkung Khawsa na awm hy.
12 If people do not change their minds, he will sharpen his sword. He has bent and strung his bow.
Anih ing a mang hloet qu mai mantaw, zawzi ce ak hqaat na taak kawmsaw; a licung ce a hawi coengawh hlah kaw.
13 He has prepared weapons of death, he has his flaming arrows ready.
Thihnaak kawi lungpawk ce tlaih oepchoeh nawh; maina ak kqawng thai la ce met hyt hawh hy.
14 See how the wicked conceive evil! They are pregnant with trouble. They give birth to dishonesty.
Seetnaak ing phyihsu nawh kyinaak ak hu ingtaw seetnaak ce thang sak hy.
15 They dig a deep hole to catch people, but then fall into it themselves.
Lawk-kqawng ak co ing amah a lawk-kqawng nawn awh tla hy.
16 The trouble they cause rebounds to hit them on the head; their violence against others comes down on their own skulls.
Thawlhnaak ak sai ce amah a pum awh tla lat kawmsaw, boeseetnaak ak sai ce amah a luk khan awh tla kaw.
17 I will thank the Lord because he does what is right; I will sing praises to the name of the Lord Most High.
A dyngnaak awh ce Bawipa venawh zeelnaak awi kqawn nyng saw, sawsang soeih Bawipang ming kyihcahnaak laa ce sa kawng nyng.
