Psalms 6

1 For the music director. To be accompanied by stringed instruments, according to the sheminith. A psalm of David. Lord, please don't condemn me because you're angry with me; please don't punish me because you're angry with me!

Pou chèf sanba yo. Se sou enstriman akòd pou yo jwe mizik la. Sou wityèm lan. Se yon sòm David. Seyè, pa pini m' lè ou fache! Pa kale m' lè ou an kòlè!

2 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak; heal me, Lord, for I am sick to the bone.

Gen pitye pou mwen, Seyè, paske mwen santi m' san fòs. Geri mwen, Seyè, paske m'ap deperi.

3 I'm shaking all over in fear. How long will it be, Lord, before you do something?

Lespri m' boulvèse anpil, Seyè. Pou konbe tan bagay sa a la ankò?

4 Turn, Lord, and rescue me! Save me because of your trustworthy love!

Tounen vin delivre m' non, Seyè! Jan ou gen kè sansib sa a, pa kite m' mouri.

5 For no one remembers you when they're dead. Who is able to praise you from the grave? (Sheol h7585)

Paske, lè yon moun mouri li pa chonje ou ankò. Pesonn pa fè lwanj ou kote mò yo ye a. (Sheol h7585)

6 My groaning has exhausted me. Every night I soak my bed with my crying; I drench my couch with my tears.

Se fini m'ap fini afòs m'ap kriye. Lannwit, kabann mwen mouye nèt afòs jè m' kouri dlo.

7 With all my crying I can hardly see; my eyes grow weak because of the trouble my enemies cause me.

Figi m' fin rale afòs mwen gen lapenn. Mwen fin vye anba moun k'ap pèsekite m' yo.

8 Leave me alone, all you people who do evil, for the Lord has heard me crying!

Wete kò nou sou mwen, nou tout k'ap fè sa ki mal, paske Seyè a tande lè m'ap kriye.

9 The Lord has heard me calling out for help; the Lord answers my prayer.

Li tande m' lè m'ap rele nan pye li. Li reponn mwen lè m'ap lapriyè li.

10 All who hate me will be shamefully defeated and terrified; they will run away in disgrace.

Tout lènmi m' yo pral wont, y'ap pè. Se vre wi. Y'ap kouri fè bak. Y'ap rete konsa lawont ap pran yo.
