< Psalms 57 >
1 For the music director. According to “Do Not Destroy.” A psalm (miktam) of David concerning the time he fled from Saul and hid in the cave. Please be kind to me, God! Be kind to me because I come to you for protection. I will shelter under the shadow of your wings until the danger is past.
Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Potsata mayimbidwe a “Musawononge.” Ndakatulo ya Davide, pamene anathawa Sauli kupita ku phanga. Mundichitire chifundo, Inu Mulungu mundichitire chifundo, pakuti mwa Inu moyo wanga umathawiramo. Ndidzathawira mu mthunzi wa mapiko anu mpaka chiwonongeko chitapita.
2 I cry out for help to God Most High, to God who vindicates me.
Ine ndikufuwulira kwa Mulungu Wammwambamwamba, kwa Mulungu amene amakwaniritsa cholinga chake pa ine.
3 From heaven he sends his help, and he saves me. He defeats those who persecute me. (Selah) God sends me his unfailing love, showing he is completely trustworthy.
Mulungu amanditumizira kuchokera kumwamba ndi kundipulumutsa, kudzudzula iwo amene akundithamangitsa kwambiri. Mulungu amatumiza chikondi chake ndi kukhulupirika kwake.
4 I am surrounded by man-eating lions—I am forced to live with them! Their teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongues are swords.
Ine ndili pakati pa mikango, ndagona pakati pa zirombo zolusa; anthu amene mano awo ndi milomo yawo ndi mivi, malilime awo ndi malupanga akuthwa.
5 God, your greatness is above the highest heavens; and your glory covers the whole earth!
Mukwezekedwe Inu Mulungu, kuposa mayiko onse akumwamba; mulole kuti ulemerero wanu ukhale pa dziko lonse lapansi.
6 They set a trap to catch me. I was so depressed. They dug a pit on my path but they were the ones who fell into it. (Selah)
Iwo anatchera mapazi anga ukonde ndipo ndinawerama pansi mosautsidwa. Anakumba dzenje mʼnjira yanga koma agweramo okha mʼmenemo.
7 I have confidence in you, God, I have confidence in you. I will sing songs of praise to you.
Mtima wanga ndi wokhazikika, Inu Mulungu mtima wanga ndi wokhazikika. Ndidzayimba nyimbo, nyimbo yake yamatamando.
8 I say to myself, “Wake up!” Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn!
Dzuka moyo wanga! Dzukani zeze ndi pangwe! Ndidzadzuka mʼbandakucha.
9 I will thank you among the peoples, Lord; I will sing your praises among the nations.
Ndidzakutamandani Ambuye, pakati pa mitundu ya anthu, ndidzayimba za Inu pakati pa mayiko.
10 Your faithful love reaches to the heavens; your trustworthiness to the clouds.
Pakuti chikondi chanu nʼchachikulu, kufikira ku mayiko akumwamba; kukhulupirika kwanu kwafika ku mitambo.
11 God, your greatness is above the highest heavens; and your glory covers the whole earth!
Mukwezekedwe Inu Mulungu kuposa mayiko akumwamba, mulole kuti ulemerero wanu ukhale pa dziko lonse lapansi.
