< Psalms 5 >

1 For the music director. A psalm of David, to be accompanied by flutes. Lord, please listen to me. Don't ignore my groans of distress.
Dawid dwom. Awurade, yɛ aso ma me nsɛm na dwen mʼapinisi ho.
2 Hear me pleading for help, my King and my God, because I'm praying to you.
Tie me mmoa ho sufrɛ, me Hene ne me Nyankopɔn, efisɛ wo na mebɔ wo mpae.
3 Please listen to what I have to say in the morning, Lord. Every morning I put my requests to you and wait for your reply.
Awurade, wote me nne anɔpa; anɔpa, mede mʼadesrɛ ba wʼanim na mede anidaso twɛn.
4 For you are not a God who has any pleasure in wickedness; evil has no place with you.
Wonyɛ Onyankopɔn a wʼani gye bɔne ho; na amumɔyɛfo rentumi ne wo ntena.
5 The proud cannot come into your presence; you hate everyone who does evil.
Ahantanfo rentumi nnyina wʼanim; wukyi wɔn a wɔyɛ bɔne nyinaa.
6 You destroy those who tell lies. The Lord loathes bloodthirsty and deceptive people.
Wosɛe wɔn a wɔka atosɛm; Awurade kyi mogyapɛfo ne asisifo.
7 But because of the greatness of your trustworthy love, I can come into your house; in awe of you I bow down towards your holy Temple.
Nanso me, wo mmɔborɔhunu bebrebe nti, mɛba wo fi; na nidi mu na mɛkotow akyerɛ wʼasɔredan kronkron no.
8 Lead me, Lord, you who always does what is right, save me from my enemies. Make your way clear to me.
Awurade kyerɛ me kwan wɔ wo trenee mu mʼatamfo nti, bɔ wo kwan tee wɔ mʼanim.
9 Nothing they say can be trusted; their main desire is to destroy. Their throat is like an open grave; their tongues are full of flattery.
Wɔn anom asɛm baako mpo nyɛ nokware; ɔsɛe ahyɛ wɔn koma ma. Wɔn menewa yɛ ɔda a so abue wɔde wɔn tɛkrɛma ka nnaadaasɛm.
10 God, condemn them as guilty! Make them fall because of their evil plans. Throw them out because of all their sins, for they have rebelled against you.
Onyankopɔn, bu wɔn fɔ! Ma wɔn pɔw bɔne nyɛ wɔn asehwe. Pam wɔn; esiane wɔn bɔne dodow no nti, efisɛ wɔasɔre atia wo.
11 But may all those who trust in you be happy—may they sing for joy forever. May you spread your protection over them so that everyone who loves your character may celebrate.
Nanso ma wɔn a woguan ba wo nkyɛn no ani nnye; ma wɔmfa anigye nto dwom daa. Trɛw wo bammɔ mu wɔ wɔn so, na wɔn a wɔdɔ wo din no ma wɔn ani nnye wɔ wo mu.
12 For you, Lord, bless those who live right; you protect them with your shield of love.
Awurade, ampa ara, wuhyira atreneefo; na wode wʼayamye twa wɔn ho hyia sɛ nkatabo. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo sɛ ɔmfa sankuhama nto wɔ Seminit nne so.
