Psalms 49
1 For the music director. A psalm of the sons of Korah. Listen to this, everyone! Pay attention, people of the world—
সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। কোরহ বংশের সন্তানদের একটি গীত। হে লোকসকল, তোমরা শোনো; সকল পৃথিবীবাসীরা, কর্ণপাত করো,
2 whether you are highborn or lowborn, rich or poor!
অভিজাত ও নীচ, ধনী এবং দরিদ্র, শোনো:
3 For what I say is wise, and my thinking is perceptive.
আমার মুখ প্রজ্ঞার কথা বলবে; আমার হৃদয়ের ধ্যান তোমাকে বোধশক্তি দেবে।
4 I pay attention to wise sayings; I answer hard questions to a tune on the harp.
আমি নীতিবাক্যের প্রতি কর্ণপাত করব; বীণা সহযোগে আমি আমার ধাঁধা ব্যাখ্যা করব:
5 Why should I be afraid when trouble comes, when evil enemies surround me?
যখন অমঙ্গলের দিন আসে, যখন দুষ্ট ছলনাকারী আমাকে ঘিরে ধরে, তখন আমি কেন ভীত হব?
6 They trust in their wealth; they boast about their riches,
তারা তাদের সম্পত্তিতে আস্থা রাখে আর নিজেদের মহা ঐশ্বর্যে গর্ব করে।
7 but no one can pay to rescue another from death; no one can pay a ransom to God.
কেউ অপরের জীবন মুক্ত করতে পারে না অথবা তাদের জন্য ঈশ্বরকে মুক্তিপণ দিতে পারে না।
8 Redemption is beyond price; no one could ever pay enough
জীবনের মুক্তিপণ বহুমূল্য; চিরকাল বেঁচে থাকার জন্য
9 that they could live forever and not face the grave.
এবং মৃত্যু না দেখার জন্য কেউ যথেষ্ট পারিশ্রমিক দিতে পারে না।
10 Everyone knows that the wise die, those who are foolish and stupid too, leaving what they have to the next generation.
কারণ সবাই দেখে যে জ্ঞানীর মৃত্যু হয়, অচেতন ও মূর্খও বিনষ্ট হয়, তাদের সম্পত্তি অপরের জন্য রেখে যায়।
11 They think their homes will last forever, that where they live will continue for all generations.
যদিও তাদের ভূসম্পত্তি তাদেরই নামে ছিল, তাদের সমাধিই তাদের অনন্ত গৃহ, যেখানে তারা চিরকালের জন্য বসবাস করবে।
12 But human beings, for all their fame, don't understand. They die, just like the animals.
মানুষ, তাদের ধনসম্পত্তি সত্ত্বেও, স্থায়ী হয় না; তারা পশুর মতো বিনষ্ট হয়।
13 This is the way of foolish people, yet those who come after them think they were clever! (Selah)
যারা নিজেদের উপর আস্থা রাখে তাদের এই পরিণাম হয়, এবং তাদেরও হয়, যারা তাদের অনুগামী এবং তাদের কথা সমর্থন করে।
14 Like sheep they are destined for the grave. Death will be their shepherd. Those who live right will rule over them in the morning. Their bodies will decay in the grave, far from their homes. (Sheol h7585)
তারা মেষের মতো মৃত্যুর জন্য নির্ধারিত; মৃত্যু তাদের পালক হবে কিন্তু সকালে ন্যায়পরায়ণেরা তাদের উপর কর্তৃত্ব করবে। নিজেদের রাজকীয় অট্টালিকা থেকে দূরে তাদের দেহ সমাধির মধ্যে ক্ষয় হবে। (Sheol h7585)
15 But surely God will rescue me from the power of the grave; he will grab me back. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
কিন্তু ঈশ্বর আমাকে পাতালের গর্ভ থেকে মুক্ত করবেন; আমাকে তিনি নিশ্চয় তাঁর কাছে নিয়ে যাবেন। (Sheol h7585)
16 Don't be disturbed when people become rich, filling their houses with possessions.
যখন দুষ্টরা ধনের প্রাচুর্যে বৃদ্ধি পায় আর তাদের গৃহের শোভা বৃদ্ধি পায়, তখন শঙ্কিত হোয়ো না;
17 For they won't take anything with them when they die; their wealth will not go down into the grave with them.
কারণ যখন তাদের মৃত্যু হবে তারা তাদের সাথে কিছুই নিয়ে যাবে না, তাদের ঐশ্বর্য তাদের সঙ্গে সমাধি পর্যন্ত যাবে না।
18 They congratulate themselves for all they possess—people always praise you when you do well—
এই জীবনে তারা নিজেদের ধন্য মনে করে এবং তাদের সাফল্যে তারা অপরের প্রশংসা পায়।
19 but their destiny is the same as their forefathers: they will never again see the light of day.
কিন্তু তাদের মৃত্যু হবে, যেমন তাদের আগেও সবার হয়েছে, এবং আর কোনোদিন জীবনের আলো দেখবে না।
20 Human beings, for all their fame, don't understand, and they die, just like the animals.
যাদের ধনসম্পত্তি আছে কিন্তু বোধশক্তি নেই তারা পশুদের মতো, যারা বিনষ্ট হয়।
