< Psalms 48 >
1 For the music director. A psalm of the sons of Korah. The Lord is supreme! He deserves praise in the city of our God on his holy mountain.
Otu Abụ. Abụ Ọma nke ụmụ Kora. Onyenwe anyị dị ukwuu, bụrụkwa onye kwesiri ịnata otuto, nʼime obodo Chineke anyị, nʼugwu nsọ ya.
2 Mount Zion is high and beautiful, bringing happiness to all the earth; on the northern side is the city of the great King.
Ọ mara mma nʼịdị elu ya, bụkwa ọṅụ elu ụwa niile. Ugwu Zayọn, obodo eze ahụ dị ukwuu, dịka ebe kachasị elu nke Zafọn.
3 God himself is in the city's fortresses; he is recognized as its defender.
Chineke nọ nʼime ebe ya e wusiri ike; o gosila onwe ya dịka ebe mgbaba ha e wusiri ike.
4 Look at what happened when foreign kings joined forces and came to attack the city.
Mgbe ndị eze jikọtara ndị agha ha ọnụ, mgbe ha bịakọtara nso,
5 As soon as they saw it they were astonished and ran away terrified.
ihe ha hụrụ juru ha anya; nʼihi oke egwu, ha gbara ọsọ.
6 They shook all over, and were in agonizing pain like a woman giving birth,
Ahụ ọma jijiji bidoro ha nʼebe ahụ, ihe mgbu ha dịka nke nwanyị na-achọ ịmụ nwa.
7 just as the strong east wind wrecks the ships from Tarshish.
Ị lara ha nʼiyi dịka oke ifufe si nʼọwụwa anyanwụ si ala ụgbọ mmiri ukwuu nke Tashish nʼiyi.
8 Just as we had heard, but now we have seen the city of the Lord Almighty. This is the city of our God; he makes it secure forever. (Selah)
Dịka anyị nụrụ, otu a ka anyị hụrụ, nʼime obodo Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, nʼime obodo Chineke anyị: Chineke na-eme ka o guzosie ike ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. (Sela)
9 God, we recall your trustworthy love as we worship in the Temple.
O Chineke, nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwuu gị, ka anyị nọ na-atụgharị uche nʼịhụnanya gị nke na-enweghị ọgwụgwụ.
10 As is fitting for your reputation, God, praises to you stretch all around the world. What you do is always right!
O Chineke, dịka aha gị, otuto gị na-eru na nsọtụ ụwa niile; aka nri gị jupụtara nʼezi omume.
11 Let the people of Mount Zion be glad; let the people of Judah celebrate because your judgments are always fair!
Ugwu Zayọn na-aṅụrị ọṅụ, obodo nta niile nke Juda nwere obi ụtọ nʼihi ikpe gị niile.
12 Go and take a look at Zion. Count the towers as you walk around.
Gaanụ Zayọn gburugburu, Jegharịa ya gburugburu, gụọkwanụ ụlọ elu ya niile ọnụ.
13 Inspect the fortifications. Examine the citadels, so you can describe everything to the next generation, telling them:
Lezienụ mgbidi ya niile anya, nyochakwaanụ ebe ya niile e wusiri ike, ka unu nwee ike ịkọrọ ọgbọ na-abịa nʼihu akụkọ ndị a.
14 “This is who our God is. He is our God forever and ever. He himself will lead us until the very end.”
Nʼihi na Chineke a, bụ Chineke anyị ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi, ọ ga-abụ onyendu anyị, ọ bụladị ruo nʼọgwụgwụ.
