< Psalms 48 >

1 For the music director. A psalm of the sons of Korah. The Lord is supreme! He deserves praise in the city of our God on his holy mountain.
Yon Chan; yon Sòm fis a Koré yo. Gran se Bondye e gran se lwanj Li merite a, nan Jérusalem, vil Bondye nou an, mòn sen pa Li a.
2 Mount Zion is high and beautiful, bringing happiness to all the earth; on the northern side is the city of the great King.
Bèl nan wotè li, jwa tout latè a, se Mòn Sion nan pati nò a, Vil gran Wa a.
3 God himself is in the city's fortresses; he is recognized as its defender.
Bondye te parèt nan sitadèl li yo. La, Li te fè tèt Li rekonèt kon yon refij.
4 Look at what happened when foreign kings joined forces and came to attack the city.
Men gade, wa yo te rasanble yo. Yo pase akote vil la ansanm.
5 As soon as they saw it they were astonished and ran away terrified.
Yo te wè li, e yo te etone. Yo te sezi nèt, yo te kouri nan laperèz.
6 They shook all over, and were in agonizing pain like a woman giving birth,
La, yo pèdi ekilib yo nèt. Doulè ak sezisman te pran yo tankou fanm k ap akouche.
7 just as the strong east wind wrecks the ships from Tarshish.
Avèk van lès la, Ou te kraze bato Tarsis yo.
8 Just as we had heard, but now we have seen the city of the Lord Almighty. This is the city of our God; he makes it secure forever. (Selah)
Jan nou konn tande a, se konsa nou vin wè, nan vil SENYÈ dèzame yo, nan vil Bondye pa nou an. Bondye va etabli li nèt, jis pou tout tan.
9 God, we recall your trustworthy love as we worship in the Temple.
Nou te reflechi sou lanmou dous Ou a, O Bondye, nan mitan tanp Ou a.
10 As is fitting for your reputation, God, praises to you stretch all around the world. What you do is always right!
Jan non Ou ye a, O Bondye, Se konsa Lwanj Ou ye, jis rive nan dènye pwent tè a; Men dwat Ou plen ladwati.
11 Let the people of Mount Zion be glad; let the people of Judah celebrate because your judgments are always fair!
Kite Mòn Sion fè kè kontan! Kite fi a Juda yo rejwi akoz jijman Ou yo.
12 Go and take a look at Zion. Count the towers as you walk around.
Mache toupatou nan Sion e antoure li. Konte fò wo li yo.
13 Inspect the fortifications. Examine the citadels, so you can describe everything to the next generation, telling them:
Konsidere ranpa li yo. Antre nan palè li yo, pou ou kab pale jenerasyon k ap vini an.
14 “This is who our God is. He is our God forever and ever. He himself will lead us until the very end.”
Paske Bondye se Bondye pa nou an jis pou tout tan. Li va gide nou jiska lanmò.
