< Psalms 48 >
1 For the music director. A psalm of the sons of Korah. The Lord is supreme! He deserves praise in the city of our God on his holy mountain.
Wer. Zaburi mar yawuot Kora. Jehova Nyasaye duongʼ adier, kendo owinjore chuth gi pak, e dala maduongʼ mar Nyasachwa, ma en gode maler.
2 Mount Zion is high and beautiful, bringing happiness to all the earth; on the northern side is the city of the great King.
E dala motingʼore malo kendo ober neno omiyo piny duto bedo mamor. Got Sayun chalo gi kama otingʼore malo mar Zafon, ma en dala maduongʼ mar Ruoth Maduongʼ.
3 God himself is in the city's fortresses; he is recognized as its defender.
Nyasaye nitiere e dalane mochiel motegno kendo osenyisore ni en e ohingane.
4 Look at what happened when foreign kings joined forces and came to attack the city.
Ka ruodhi noriwo teko kanyakla, kane giwuokne oko kaachiel,
5 As soon as they saw it they were astonished and ran away terrified.
negineno mi gibuok; kendo negiringo gia ka luoro omakogi.
6 They shook all over, and were in agonizing pain like a woman giving birth,
Dendgi nochako tetni kanyo kendo negibedo gi rem machalo gi muoch ma kayo dhako.
7 just as the strong east wind wrecks the ships from Tarshish.
Ne iturogi matindo tindo ka meli mag Tarshish ma yamb wuok chiengʼ ongʼinjo.
8 Just as we had heard, but now we have seen the city of the Lord Almighty. This is the city of our God; he makes it secure forever. (Selah)
Mana kaka wasewinjo e kaka waseneno gi wengewa, e dala maduongʼ mar Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, e dala mar Nyasachwa: Nyasaye oselose kama dak berie nyaka chiengʼ. (Sela)
9 God, we recall your trustworthy love as we worship in the Temple.
Ei hekalu mari, yaye Nyasaye, ema wabetie ka waparo kuom herani ma ok rem.
10 As is fitting for your reputation, God, praises to you stretch all around the world. What you do is always right!
Mana kaka nyingi, yaye Nyasaye, e kaka pakni bende chopo nyaka tungʼ piny; lweti ma korachwich opongʼ gi tim makare.
11 Let the people of Mount Zion be glad; let the people of Judah celebrate because your judgments are always fair!
Got Sayun oil, kendo mier mag Juda nigi mor, nikech iyalo ji maber.
12 Go and take a look at Zion. Count the towers as you walk around.
Wuothi ei Sayun, luorri e iye koni gi koni, kwan osuche duto,
13 Inspect the fortifications. Examine the citadels, so you can describe everything to the next generation, telling them:
par maber kuom ohinga mage, nee udi mag ruodhine, mondo ibi inyis tienge mabiro.
14 “This is who our God is. He is our God forever and ever. He himself will lead us until the very end.”
Nikech Nyasaye en Nyasachwa manyaka chiengʼ obiro bedo jaritwa nyaka chop giko ndalowa e piny.
