< Psalms 40 >

1 For the music director. A psalm of David. I waited for the Lord patiently, and he turned to me—he heard my cry for help.
Panpi ding ngai in Pakai chu lungneng tah in kangai jing e, aman kahenglam ahin ngan kataona eisanpih tai.
2 He pulled me out of the pit of destruction, out from the mud and the slime. He set me on a rock, and gave me a safe place to stand.
Aman lunglhah nathei kotong a kon in eikai doh in, buol sung a buon ngan lah a kon in eikai doh in tolgo chung a eidin sah in kakal sonna jong eisuh dih pih e.
3 He gave me a new song to sing, a song of praise to our God. Many people will see and be in awe, and they will put their trust in him.
Kasah ding lathah khat eipen, I Pathen u vahchoi na ding lakhat eipen ahi. Mitamtah in ana toh hinmu vin tin adatmo ding u ahi. Hitia chu amahon pakai chu atah san diu ahi.
4 Happy are those who trust in the Lord, who do not look for help from the arrogant or from those who worship idols.
O pakai tahsan na a ding det ho iti akipah tadiuvem, amahon mikiletsah ho chung a tahsan na anei pouvin ahilouleh semthu pathen limhou ho jong atahsan pouve.
5 Lord my God, you have done so many wonderful things for us, and you have so many plans for us. No one compares to you. I want to tell all that you've done—blessings too many to count.
O Pakai ka Pathen nangin keiho ding in thil kidang tah tah neibolpeh taove. Neigon peh u thilho hi simjou sutjou hoi ahipoi. Nangto kibang ding koima cha aum poi. Na kidang natoh doh ho hi sim ding kagon, achaina gei kalhun lou ding kahei.
6 You don't want sacrifices and offerings. Now you have helped me understand—you're not asking for burnt offerings or sin offerings.
Nangman pumgo thilto ho a hin kipana nanei poi. Nei ngaisah thuho chu tun kahechen tai, nangin chonset thoidam na thilto leh pumgo thilto jong nangeh poi.
7 Then I said, “Look! Here I am! I've come to do what is written about me in the scroll of the Book.
Hichun keiman kaseijin, “Ven keima kahung e. Pathen lekhabu a kisun bang in:
8 I am pleased to do your will, my God—your Law guides my mind.”
Nangma lungdei lam bolding hi katha anop na ahi, O Pathen, ajeh chu kalung sung a nangma danthu hohi akisun lut tai.
9 I have announced the good news of salvation to the whole congregation. I don't keep quiet, Lord, as you know.
Namite jouse lah a nathutan dih je hi kaphongdoh tai. O het themna nei Pakai, nangma bang in kichaloubeh in kasei doh tai.
10 I have not kept the truth of your goodness hidden inside me—I have spoken of your trustworthiness and your salvation. I have not concealed your unfailing love and your faithfulness from the whole congregation.
Nadih jedan kipana thuphahi keiman kachang a din kalungthim a selguh in kakoi poi; Nakitah na le nami huhhing na thu kasei e. Nahoubung mithengte lah a namingai lut na long lou le nakitah na chu tanglou in kasei phong jinge.
11 Lord, please don't keep back your mercy from me. May your trustworthy love and faithfulness always be my protection.
Pakai nangin tanglou vin neingailu jing jeng in. Nangailut nale nakitahna chu neihoi bit jing sah in.
12 For I'm experiencing so many problems—I can't even count them! My sins have piled up so high I can't see over them. They're more than the number of hairs on my head! I feel like giving up!
Boinan eibom in sim a simjou hoi ahipoi! Kachonsetna akikhol sang in kalampi jong kamu thei tapoi. Kalujang a kasam sangin atamjo tan hansan na him him kanei jou tapoi.
13 Lord, please save me! Hurry, Lord, help me!
Pakai lungsettah in neihuhdoh in! hung vah'in Pakai neipanpin.
14 Please defeat and humiliate the people who are trying to kill me; turn back in disgrace those who want to hurt me.
Eisumang gohohi jumson lang kisuhboi sah in, kahahsat nikho a kipah ho lungdong in nungjam sah in.
15 May they be shocked at their defeat, those who taunted me.
“Aha tun akimaikhah tai” tia asei jeh un, jum nan kichao hen.
16 But may everyone who comes to you be happy and glad; may those who love your salvation always say, “The Lord is great!”
Nangkom hinbel jouse kipa nale thanop nan dimset uhen. Nami huhhing na kipapi hochun “Pakai chu aloupi e” tin sam jingo hen.
17 As for me, I am poor and needy. May the Lord think about me. Help me! Save me! My God, please don't wait!
Keidin vang gentheile vaicha kahi jeh in, Pakai in along sung a eihoi jing hen. Pakai nang chu eikithopi le eihuhhingpu nahi. O ka Pathen khongai sot hih in.
