Psalms 4
1 For the music director. A psalm of David, to be accompanied by string instruments. When I call, please answer me, God who vindicates me. When I was hemmed in by troubles, you gave me a way out. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.
Przewodnikowi chóru, na Neginot. Psalm Dawida. Wysłuchaj mnie, gdy [cię] wzywam, Boże mojej sprawiedliwości! Ty wyzwoliłeś mnie w [czasie] ucisku. Zmiłuj się nade mną i wysłuchaj mojej modlitwy.
2 How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you love what is worthless and tell lies? (Selah)
Synowie ludzcy, jak długo [będziecie] znieważać moją chwałę? [Jak długo] będziecie miłować marność [i] szukać kłamstwa? (Sela)
3 You should realize that the Lord shows special favor to the faithful. The Lord listens when I call to him.
Wiedzcie, że PAN oddzielił dla siebie pobożnego. PAN wysłucha, gdy zawołam do niego.
4 Be in awe, do not sin. When you rest, reflect on this, and keep quiet! (Selah)
Zadrżyjcie i nie grzeszcie. Rozmyślajcie w swym sercu na łożu i zamilczcie. (Sela)
5 Offer sacrifices with the right attitude. Trust in the Lord.
Składajcie ofiary sprawiedliwości i ufajcie PANU.
6 Many say, “Who is going to show us some good?” Lord, may your face shine upon us.
Wielu mówi: Któż pokaże nam dobro? PANIE, wznieś nad nami światło twego oblicza.
7 The happiness you give me is better than those who have a plentiful harvest of grain and new wine.
Wlałeś w moje serce więcej radości niż w czasie, gdy obfitowały ich zboże i wino.
8 I will lie down in peace and sleep, for you, Lord, alone keep me safe.
W spokoju się położę i zasnę, bo ty sam, PANIE, sprawiasz, że mieszkam bezpiecznie.
