< Psalms 30 >
1 A psalm of David. A psalm for the dedication of the Temple. I want to tell everyone how good you are, Lord, for you saved me, and you didn't let my enemies triumph over me.
Saamu. Orin. Fún ìyàsímímọ́ Tẹmpili. Ti Dafidi. Èmi yóò kókìkí i rẹ, Olúwa, nítorí ìwọ ni ó gbé mi lékè tí ìwọ kò sì jẹ́ kí àwọn ọ̀tá mi kí ó yọ̀ mí.
2 Lord, my God, I called out to you for help, and you have healed me.
Olúwa Ọlọ́run mi, èmi ké pè ọ́ fún ìrànlọ́wọ́, ìwọ sì ti wò mí sàn.
3 Lord, you rescued me from the grave, you brought me back to life, saving me from going down into the pit of death. (Sheol )
Olúwa, ìwọ ti yọ ọkàn mi jáde kúrò nínú isà òkú, mú mi padà bọ̀ sípò alààyè kí èmi má ba à lọ sínú ihò. (Sheol )
4 You who trust the Lord, sing praises to him, and be thankful for his holy character!
Kọ orin ìyìn sí Olúwa, ẹ̀yin olódodo; kí ẹ sì fi ọpẹ́ fún orúkọ rẹ̀ mímọ́.
5 For his anger only lasts a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. You may spend the night in tears, but happiness comes with the morning.
Nítorí pé ìbínú rẹ̀ wà fún ìgbà díẹ̀, ojúrere rẹ̀ wà títí ayérayé; ẹkún lè pẹ́ títí di alẹ́, ṣùgbọ́n ayọ̀ yóò wá ní òwúrọ̀.
6 When things were going well, I said, “Nothing will ever shake me!”
Ní ìgbà ayé mi, mo wí pé, “a kì yóò ṣí mi ní ipò padà.”
7 Lord, when you showed me your favor I stood as strong as a mountain; when you turned away from me I was terrified.
Nípa ojúrere rẹ, Olúwa, ìwọ ti gbé mi kalẹ̀ bí òkè tí ó ní agbára; ìwọ pa ojú rẹ mọ́, àyà sì fò mí.
8 I called out to you for help, Lord. I asked the Lord for grace, saying,
Sí ọ Olúwa, ni mo ké pè é; àti sí Olúwa ni mo sọkún fún àánú:
9 What would you gain if I die, if I go down into the pit of death? Would my dust praise you? Would it tell of your trustworthiness?
“Èrè kí ni ó wà nínú ikú ìparun mi, nínú lílọ sí ihò mi? Eruku yóò a yìn ọ́ bí? Ǹjẹ́ yóò sọ nípa òdodo rẹ?
10 Please listen to me, Lord, and be gracious to me! Lord, you are the one who helps me.
Gbọ́, Olúwa, kí o sì ṣàánú fún mi; ìwọ Olúwa, jẹ́ olùrànlọ́wọ́ mi.”
11 You have turned my weeping into dancing. You have taken off my clothes of sackcloth and dressed me in happiness,
Ìwọ ti yí ìkáàánú mi di ijó fún mi; ìwọ sì ti bọ́ aṣọ ọ̀fọ̀ mi, o sì fi aṣọ ayọ̀ wọ̀ mí,
12 so I can sing praises to you and not keep quiet. Lord my God, I will thank you forever!
nítorí ìdí èyí ni kí ọkàn mi máa yìn ọ́, kí o má sì ṣe dákẹ́. Ìwọ Olúwa Ọlọ́run mi, èmi yóò máa fi ọpẹ́ fún ọ títí láé.
