< Psalms 30 >
1 A psalm of David. A psalm for the dedication of the Temple. I want to tell everyone how good you are, Lord, for you saved me, and you didn't let my enemies triumph over me.
Zabbuli n’Oluyimba. Okuwaayo Yeekaalu. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Nnaakugulumizanga, Ayi Mukama, kubanga wannyimusa; n’otoganya balabe bange kunneeyagalirako.
2 Lord, my God, I called out to you for help, and you have healed me.
Ayi Mukama, nakukaabirira onnyambe, n’omponya.
3 Lord, you rescued me from the grave, you brought me back to life, saving me from going down into the pit of death. (Sheol )
Ayi Mukama, omwoyo gwange waguggya emagombe, n’omponya ekinnya. (Sheol )
4 You who trust the Lord, sing praises to him, and be thankful for his holy character!
Muyimbire Mukama nga mumutendereza, mmwe abatukuvu be; mutendereze erinnya lye ettukuvu.
5 For his anger only lasts a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. You may spend the night in tears, but happiness comes with the morning.
Kubanga obusungu bwe bwa kiseera buseera, naye obulungi bwe bwa mirembe gyonna. Amaziga gayinza okubaawo ekiro kyokka essanyu ne lijja nga bukedde.
6 When things were going well, I said, “Nothing will ever shake me!”
Bwe namala okunywera ne njogera nti, “Sigenda kusiguukululwa.”
7 Lord, when you showed me your favor I stood as strong as a mountain; when you turned away from me I was terrified.
Ayi Mukama, bwe wanjagala, wanyweza olusozi lwange; naye bwe wankweka amaaso go ne neeraliikirira.
8 I called out to you for help, Lord. I asked the Lord for grace, saying,
Ggwe gwe nakoowoola, Ayi Mukama; ne nkukaabirira Mukama, onsaasire.
9 What would you gain if I die, if I go down into the pit of death? Would my dust praise you? Would it tell of your trustworthiness?
“Kingasa ki bwe nzika mu kinnya ne nzikirira? Enfuufu eneekutenderezanga n’etegeeza abantu obwesigwa bwo?
10 Please listen to me, Lord, and be gracious to me! Lord, you are the one who helps me.
Mpuliriza, Ayi Mukama, onsaasire; Ayi Mukama, onnyambe.”
11 You have turned my weeping into dancing. You have taken off my clothes of sackcloth and dressed me in happiness,
Ofudde okwaziirana kwange amazina; onnyambuddemu ebibukutu, n’onnyambaza essanyu.
12 so I can sing praises to you and not keep quiet. Lord my God, I will thank you forever!
Omutima gwange gulemenga kusirika busirisi, wabula gukuyimbirenga ennyimba ez’okukutenderezanga. Ayi Mukama, Katonda wange, nnaakwebazanga emirembe gyonna.
