< Psalms 29 >

1 A psalm of David. Honor the Lord, children of God, honor his glory and strength.
Yon sòm David Bay a SENYÈ a, O Fis a moun pwisan yo, bay a SENYÈ a, glwa avèk gwo fòs.
2 Honor the Lord for his glorious character, bow in reverence to the Lord in his brilliant holiness.
Bay a SENYÈ a, glwa ke non Li merite a. Adore SENYÈ a avèk tout sa ki sen.
3 The Lord's voice sounds over the sea. The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the vast ocean.
Vwa SENYÈ a sou dlo yo. Bondye glwa la fè tonnè gwonde, eklate. SENYÈ a sou anpil dlo.
4 The Lord's voice is powerful; the Lord's voice is majestic;
Vwa SENYÈ a gen gwo fòs. Vwa SENYÈ a ranpli ak majeste.
5 the Lord's voice shatters the cedars, even breaking the cedars of Lebanon.
Vwa SENYÈ a fann bwa sèd yo. Wi, SENYÈ a fann an mòso bwa sèd Liban yo.
6 He makes the mountains of Lebanon skip like a calf, and Mount Hermon like a young wild ox.
Li fè Liban sote. Li ponpe tankou yon ti bèf, e Sirion tankou yon jèn bèf mawon.
7 The Lord's voice blazes out like lightning flashes.
Vwa SENYÈ a koupe fè flanm dife.
8 The Lord's voice causes an earthquake in the desert; the desert of Kadesh shakes.
Vwa SENYÈ a souke savann nan. Vwa SENYÈ a souke savann Kadès la.
9 The Lord's voice makes the pregnant deer go into labor; it strips bare the forests. In his Temple all the worshipers shout, “Glory!”
Vwa SENYÈ a fè bich la fè pitit. Li fè forè a vin toutouni. Nan tanp Li a, tout moun ki la yo rele: “Glwa”!
10 The Lord sits on his throne above the floodwaters; the Lord is the eternal King.
SENYÈ a te chita kon Wa nan gran inondasyon an. Wi, SENYÈ a chita kon Wa jis pou tout tan.
11 The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses them with peace.
SENYÈ a va bay fòs a pèp Li a. SENYÈ a va beni pèp li a avèk lapè.
