Psalms 26
1 A psalm of David. Confirm that I'm innocent, Lord, for I have acted with integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without fail.
Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, nduĩra itua rĩa kĩhooto, nĩgũkorwo mĩthiĩre yakwa nĩmĩkindĩrĩku; ndũũrĩte ndĩhokete Jehova itegũthangania.
2 Examine me, Lord, test me; investigate my thoughts and intentions.
Wee Jehova, ngeria na ũndorie, tuĩria ngoro yakwa o na meciiria makwa;
3 For I always remember your trustworthy love, and I follow your truth.
nĩgũkorwo wendo waku ũkoragwo ũrĩ mbere yakwa, na ngeragĩra njĩra-inĩ yaku ya ũhoro wa ma.
4 I don't join in with liars and I don't associate with hypocrites.
Ndiikaranagia na andũ a maheeni, o na kana ngagwatanĩra na andũ arĩa marĩ ũhinga.
5 I refuse to get together with those who do evil, and I won't involve myself with the wicked.
Nĩthũire kĩũngano kĩa andũ arĩa mekaga ũũru, na ngarega gũikarania na andũ arĩa aaganu.
6 I wash my hands to show my innocence. I come to worship at your altar, Lord,
Ngwĩthamba moko nyonanie ndirĩ na mahĩtia, thiũrũrũke kĩgongona gĩaku, Wee Jehova,
7 singing my thanks, telling of all the wonderful things you have done.
nyine nyanĩrĩire rwĩmbo rwa gũcookia ngaatho, na heane ũhoro wa ciĩko ciaku ciothe cia magegania.
8 Lord, I love your house, the place where you live in your glory.
Wee Jehova, nĩnyendete nyũmba ĩrĩa ũtũũraga, o handũ harĩa riiri waku ũikaraga.
9 Please don't sweep me away along with sinners. Don't include me with those who commit murder,
Ndũkeherie ngoro yakwa hamwe na ya arĩa mehagia, kana muoyo wakwa hamwe na wa andũ arĩa maitaga thakame,
10 whose hands carry out their evil schemes and grab hold of bribes.
arĩa marĩ na maũndũ ma waganu moko-inĩ mao, o arĩa moko mao ma ũrĩo maiyũrĩte mahaki.
11 For I don't do that—I act with integrity. Save me and be gracious to me!
No niĩ-rĩ, ndũũraga mũtũũrĩre ũtarĩ ũcuuke; kĩngũũre na ũnjiguĩre tha.
12 I stand for what's right, and I will praise the Lord when we meet together to worship him.
Magũrũ makwa marũgamĩte handũ harĩa haigananu; nĩndĩrĩgoocaga Jehova ndĩ kĩũngano-inĩ kĩnene.
