Psalms 20

1 For the music director. A psalm of David. May the Lord answer you when you are in trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત. સંકટના સમયે યહોવાહ તારી મદદ કરો; યાકૂબના ઈશ્વરનું નામ તારું રક્ષણ કરો.

2 May the Lord send you help from the sanctuary, and may he support you from Zion.

૨પવિત્રસ્થાનમાંથી તને સહાય મોકલો અને સિયોનમાંથી તને બળ આપો.

3 May the Lord remember all your offerings, and accept all your burnt sacrifices. (Selah)

૩તે તારાં સર્વ અર્પણોનું સ્મરણ કરો અને તારું દહનીયાર્પણ માન્ય કરો.

4 May the Lord give you whatever you really want; may he make all your plans successful.

૪તે તારા હૃદયની ઇચ્છા પ્રમાણે આપો અને તારી સર્વ યોજનાઓ પૂરી કરો.

5 May we shout for joy over your victory, and set up banners in the name of our God. May the Lord answer all your requests.

૫તારા ઉદ્ધારમાં અમે આનંદ માનીશું અને આપણા ઈશ્વરને નામે આપણી ધ્વજાઓ ચઢાવીશું. યહોવાહ તારી સર્વ અરજો સ્વીકારો.

6 Now I know that the Lord saves the one he has anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, and save his anointed by his powerful right hand.

૬હવે હું જાણું છું કે યહોવાહ પોતાના અભિષિક્તને બચાવે છે; તે પોતાના પવિત્ર આકાશમાંથી પોતાના જમણા હાથની તારકશક્તિથી તેને જવાબ આપશે.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in war horses, but we trust in who the Lord our God is.

૭કોઈ રથ પર ભરોસો રાખે છે અને કોઈ ઘોડા પર, પણ આપણે આપણા ઈશ્વર યહોવાહના નામનું સ્મરણ કરીશું.

8 They collapse and fall down, but we rise and stand up.

૮તેઓ નમીને પડી ગયા છે; પણ આપણે ઊઠીને ઊભા થયા છીએ.

9 May the Lord save the king! Please answer us when we call for help!

૯હે યહોવાહ, રાજાને વિજય આપો; જ્યારે અમે વિનંતિ કરીએ, ત્યારે અમને મદદ કરો.
