< Psalms 2 >

1 Why are the nations plotting rebellion? The peoples devise schemes, but they're pointless.
DA me men liki kan lingaringarki, o da me wei kan lamelam eki me mal akan?
2 The kings of the world prepare to attack, and the rulers conspire together against the Lord and his anointed one, saying,
Nanmarki en sappa kan kin kangudi o saupeidi kan kapukapung pena, en kaokaoe dodok en Ieowa o Sapwilim a me keidier.
3 “Let's break the chains and throw away the cords that bind us.”
Kitail en kawela ara men saliedi o kase sang kitail ara sal akan!
4 But the one who sits enthroned in heaven laughs. The Lord mocks them.
A me kotikot nanlang, kotin kiparamateki, o Kaun o kotin mamale kin irail.
5 He will thunder at them, and terrify them in his fury, saying,
Eu ran a pan kotin kapung ong ir ni a ongiong; o ni a ongiong lapalap a pan kotin kamasak irail.
6 “It is I who placed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”
A ngai kasapwilada ai Nanmarki pon dol en Sion saraui.
7 “I will proclaim the Lord's decree,” says the king. “He told me, ‘You are my son. Today I have become your father.
A ngai pan padaki wei duen aude pan kapung en Ieowa! A kotin masani ong ia er: Koe nai Ol, ran wet I kaipwi uk adar!
8 Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your possessions—the whole earth will belong to you.
Poeki re i, I ap pan ki ong uk, en sosoki men liki kan, o en aneki imwin sappa kan.
9 You will break them with a rod of iron, smashing them like pottery.’”
Koe pan kawe irail ekidi sokon mata, o kamor irail pasang rasong dal akan.
10 So then you kings, be wise! Be warned, you rulers of the world!
Ari, komail nanmarki kan en dukidi, o komail saunkapung en sappa kan en lolekongala!
11 Serve the Lord in reverence, celebrate with trembling!
Papang Ieowa ni lan o pereperen ni masak!
12 Submit to his son so that he will not become angry and you die suddenly. His anger flares up quickly, but how happy are all those who go to him for protection.
Metik sapwilim a Ol, pwe a der ongiong, o komail ap lokidokila pon al o, pwe a ongiong kak madang tapida. A meid pai ir karos, me liki i.
