Psalms 2
1 Why are the nations plotting rebellion? The peoples devise schemes, but they're pointless.
രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ ഗൂഢാലോചന നടത്തുന്നതും ജനതകൾ വ്യർഥപദ്ധതികൾ ആവിഷ്കരിക്കുന്നതും എന്തിന്?
2 The kings of the world prepare to attack, and the rulers conspire together against the Lord and his anointed one, saying,
യഹോവയ്ക്കും അവിടത്തെ അഭിഷിക്തനും വിരോധമായി ഭൂമിയിലെ രാജാക്കന്മാർ എഴുന്നേൽക്കുകയും ഭരണാധിപന്മാർ ഒന്നിച്ചണിനിരക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
3 “Let's break the chains and throw away the cords that bind us.”
“നമുക്ക് അവരുടെ ചങ്ങലകൾ പൊട്ടിക്കാം അവരുടെ വിലങ്ങുകൾ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയാം!” എന്ന് അവർ പറയുന്നു.
4 But the one who sits enthroned in heaven laughs. The Lord mocks them.
സ്വർഗത്തിൽ ഉപവിഷ്ടനായിരിക്കുന്നവൻ ചിരിക്കുന്നു; കർത്താവ് അവരെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.
5 He will thunder at them, and terrify them in his fury, saying,
തന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ ശാസിക്കുകയും തന്റെ ക്രോധത്താൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ പരിഭ്രാന്തരാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
6 “It is I who placed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”
“ഞാൻ എന്റെ രാജാവിനെ വാഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു, സീയോനിൽ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപർവതത്തിൽത്തന്നെ,” എന്നു കർത്താവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
7 “I will proclaim the Lord's decree,” says the king. “He told me, ‘You are my son. Today I have become your father.
യഹോവയുടെ ഉത്തരവുകൾ ഞാൻ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു: അവിടന്ന് എന്നോട് കൽപ്പിച്ചു, “നീ എന്റെ പുത്രനാകുന്നു; ഇന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ പിതാവായിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your possessions—the whole earth will belong to you.
എന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചുകൊള്ളുക, ഞാൻ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു പൈതൃകാവകാശമായും ഭൂമിയുടെ അതിരുകൾ നിനക്ക് അധീനമായും നൽകും.
9 You will break them with a rod of iron, smashing them like pottery.’”
ഇരുമ്പുകോൽകൊണ്ട് നീ അവരെ തകർക്കും; കളിമൺ പാത്രക്കഷണങ്ങൾപോലെ നീ അവരെ ഛിന്നഭിന്നമാക്കും.”
10 So then you kings, be wise! Be warned, you rulers of the world!
അതുകൊണ്ട് രാജാക്കന്മാരേ, വിവേകികളാകുക; ഭൂമിയിലെ ഭരണാധിപരേ, ബുദ്ധിപഠിക്കുക.
11 Serve the Lord in reverence, celebrate with trembling!
ഭയഭക്തിയോടെ യഹോവയെ സേവിക്കുകയും വിറയലോടെ ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.
12 Submit to his son so that he will not become angry and you die suddenly. His anger flares up quickly, but how happy are all those who go to him for protection.
അവിടന്നു കോപാകുലനായി, മാർഗമധ്യേ നിങ്ങൾ നശിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കാൻ പുത്രനെ ചുംബിക്കുക, കാരണം അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധം ക്ഷണത്തിൽ ജ്വലിക്കും അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അഭയംപ്രാപിക്കുന്നവരെല്ലാം അനുഗൃഹീതർ.
