< Psalms 147 >
1 Praise the Lord, for it's good to sing praises to our God! Praise is wonderful and beautiful!
Monkamfo Awurade. Ɛyɛ sɛ wɔto ayɛyie dwom ma yɛn Onyankopɔn, ɛyɛ fɛ na ɛfata sɛ wɔkamfo no!
2 The Lord is rebuilding Jerusalem, gathering together the people of Israel who have been scattered.
Awurade kyekyere Yerusalem; Ɔboaboa Israel nnommumfoɔ ano.
3 He heals the broken-hearted, and bandages the wounded.
Ɔsa wɔn a wɔn akoma abotoɔ yadeɛ na ɔkyekyere wɔn akuro.
4 He knows how many stars he made, and commands all of them by name.
Ɔnim nsoromma no dodoɔ na ɔde obiara din frɛ no.
5 Our Lord is great! His power is immense! There's no limit to what he understands!
Yɛn Awurade so, na ne tumi yɛ kɛseɛ; yɛrente nʼase nwie.
6 The Lord helps those who are bowed down to get up; but he grinds the wicked into the ground.
Awurade wowa ahobrɛasefoɔ na ɔtoto amumuyɛfoɔ hwe fam.
7 Sing thanks to the Lord! Sing praises to our God with a harp!
Monto aseda nnwom mma Awurade. Momfa sankuo nto dwom mma yɛn Onyankopɔn.
8 He covers the sky with clouds to bring rain to the earth, and makes the grass grow on the hills.
Ɔde omununkum kata ɔsoro ani; ɔde osutɔ ma asase ma ɛserɛ nyini wɔ nkokoɔ so.
9 He gives food to the animals, and to the baby ravens when they call.
Ɔma anantwie aduane na sɛ anene mma su a, ɔma wɔn aduane.
10 The Lord doesn't appreciate the strength of war-horses or value human power.
Ɛnyɛ ɔpɔnkɔ ahoɔden na nʼani sɔ na ɛnyɛ onipa ahoɔden nso.
11 What the Lord values are those who follow him, those who put their confidence in his trustworthy love.
Na mmom, Awurade ani sɔ nnipa a wɔsuro no, wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to nʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no so no.
12 Jerusalem, praise the Lord! Zion, praise your God!
Momma Awurade so, Ao Yerusalem; kamfo wo Onyankopɔn, Ao Sion,
13 He makes the bars on your city gates strong, and blesses your children around you.
ɔma wʼapono akyi adaban yɛ den na ɔhyira wo nkurɔfoɔ a wɔte wo mu.
14 He keeps the borders of your land safe from attack; he provides you with plenty of the finest wheat.
Ɔma wʼahyeɛ so dwo na ɔde ayuo amapa ma wo.
15 He sends his commands around the world—they're quickly implemented.
Ɔsoma nʼahyɛdeɛ kɔ asase so; nʼasɛm tu mmirika ntɛm so.
16 He sends snow as white as wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
Ɔtrɛ sukyerɛmma mu sɛ odwan ho nwi, na ɔpete obosuo nsukyeneeɛ sɛ nsõ.
17 He throws hail like stones. Who can stand the cold he sends?
Ɔtoto asukɔtweaa gu fam sɛ mmosea. Hwan na ɔbɛtumi agyina nʼawɔ denden no ano?
18 Then he sends out his command and it melts; he blows on it and the water flows.
Ɔsoma nʼasɛm no ma ɛnane no; ɔhwanyane ne mframa, na nsuo tene.
19 He proclaims his word to Jacob; his rules and laws to Israel.
Wada nʼasɛm adi akyerɛ Yakob, ne mmara ne ɔhyɛ nsɛm akyerɛ Israel.
20 He has not done this for any other nation—they don't know his laws. Praise the Lord!
Ɔnyɛɛ yei mmaa aman foforɔ biara; wɔnnim ne mmara. Monkamfo Awurade!
