< Psalms 147 >

1 Praise the Lord, for it's good to sing praises to our God! Praise is wonderful and beautiful!
Monkamfo Awurade. Eye sɛ wɔto ayeyi nnwom ma yɛn Nyankopɔn, ɛyɛ fɛ na ɛfata dodo sɛ wɔkamfo no!
2 The Lord is rebuilding Jerusalem, gathering together the people of Israel who have been scattered.
Awurade kyekyere Yerusalem; Ɔboaboa Israel nnommum ano.
3 He heals the broken-hearted, and bandages the wounded.
Ɔsa wɔn a wɔn koma abotow no yare, na ɔkyekyere wɔn akuru.
4 He knows how many stars he made, and commands all of them by name.
Ɔkyerɛ nsoromma dodow a ɛwɔ hɔ, na ɔde obiara din frɛ no.
5 Our Lord is great! His power is immense! There's no limit to what he understands!
Yɛn Awurade so, na ne tumi yɛ kɛse; yɛrente nʼase nwie.
6 The Lord helps those who are bowed down to get up; but he grinds the wicked into the ground.
Awurade wowaw ahobrɛasefo na ɔtotow amumɔyɛfo hwehwe fam.
7 Sing thanks to the Lord! Sing praises to our God with a harp!
Monto aseda nnwom mma Awurade. Momfa sanku nto dwom mma yɛn Nyankopɔn.
8 He covers the sky with clouds to bring rain to the earth, and makes the grass grow on the hills.
Ɔde omununkum kata ɔsoro ani; ɔma asase osu ma sare nyin wɔ nkoko so.
9 He gives food to the animals, and to the baby ravens when they call.
Ɔma anantwi aduan, na sɛ kwaakwaadabimma su a, ɔma wɔn aduan.
10 The Lord doesn't appreciate the strength of war-horses or value human power.
Ɛnyɛ ɔpɔnkɔ ahoɔden na nʼani sɔ na ɛnyɛ onipa ahoɔden nso.
11 What the Lord values are those who follow him, those who put their confidence in his trustworthy love.
Na mmom, Awurade ani sɔ nnipa a wosuro no, wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da no so no.
12 Jerusalem, praise the Lord! Zion, praise your God!
Momma Awurade so, Yerusalem; kamfo wo Nyankopɔn, Sion,
13 He makes the bars on your city gates strong, and blesses your children around you.
ɔma wʼapon akyi adaban yɛ den, na ohyira wo nkurɔfo a wɔte wo mu.
14 He keeps the borders of your land safe from attack; he provides you with plenty of the finest wheat.
Ɔma wʼahye so dwo, na ɔde awi ankasa ma wo.
15 He sends his commands around the world—they're quickly implemented.
Ɔsoma nʼahyɛde kɔ asase so; nʼasɛm tu mmirika ntɛm so.
16 He sends snow as white as wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
Ɔtrɛw sukyerɛmma mu sɛ oguan ho nwi, na ɔpete obosu sukyerɛmma sɛ nsõ.
17 He throws hail like stones. Who can stand the cold he sends?
Ɔtotow mparuwbo gu fam sɛ mmosea. Hena na obetumi agyina nʼawɔw dennen no ano?
18 Then he sends out his command and it melts; he blows on it and the water flows.
Ɔsoma nʼasɛm no ma ɛnan no; ɔhwanyan ne mframa, na nsu sen.
19 He proclaims his word to Jacob; his rules and laws to Israel.
Wada nʼasɛm adi akyerɛ Yakob, ne mmara ne ɔhyɛ nsɛm akyerɛ Israel.
20 He has not done this for any other nation—they don't know his laws. Praise the Lord!
Ɔnyɛɛ eyi maa ɔman foforo biara ɛ; wonnim ne mmara. Monkamfo Awurade!
