Psalms 147
1 Praise the Lord, for it's good to sing praises to our God! Praise is wonderful and beautiful!
Louvai ao SENHOR, porque é bom cantar louvores ao nosso Deus; porque agradável e merecido [é] o louvor.
2 The Lord is rebuilding Jerusalem, gathering together the people of Israel who have been scattered.
O SENHOR edifica a Jerusalém; [e] ajunta os dispersos de Israel.
3 He heals the broken-hearted, and bandages the wounded.
Ele sara aos de coração partido, e os cura de suas dores.
4 He knows how many stars he made, and commands all of them by name.
Ele conta o número das estrelas; chama todas elas pelos seus nomes.
5 Our Lord is great! His power is immense! There's no limit to what he understands!
O nosso Senhor é grande e muito poderoso; seu entendimento é incomensurável.
6 The Lord helps those who are bowed down to get up; but he grinds the wicked into the ground.
O SENHOR levanta aos mansos; [e] abate aos perversos até a terra.
7 Sing thanks to the Lord! Sing praises to our God with a harp!
Cantai ao SENHOR em agradecimento; cantai louvores ao nosso Deus com harpa.
8 He covers the sky with clouds to bring rain to the earth, and makes the grass grow on the hills.
Ele que cobre o céu com nuvens, que prepara chuva para a terra, que faz os montes produzirem erva;
9 He gives food to the animals, and to the baby ravens when they call.
Que dá ao gado seu pasto; e [também] aos filhos dos corvos, quando clamam.
10 The Lord doesn't appreciate the strength of war-horses or value human power.
Ele não se agrada da força do cavalo, nem se contenta com as pernas do homem.
11 What the Lord values are those who follow him, those who put their confidence in his trustworthy love.
O SENHOR se agrada dos que o temem, daqueles que esperam por sua bondade.
12 Jerusalem, praise the Lord! Zion, praise your God!
Louva, Jerusalém, ao SENHOR; celebra ao teu Deus, ó Sião.
13 He makes the bars on your city gates strong, and blesses your children around you.
Porque ele fortifica os ferrolhos de tuas portas; ele abençoa a teus filhos dentro de ti.
14 He keeps the borders of your land safe from attack; he provides you with plenty of the finest wheat.
[Ele é] o que dá paz às tuas fronteiras; e te farta com o melhor trigo;
15 He sends his commands around the world—they're quickly implemented.
Que envia sua ordem à terra; sua palavra corre velozmente.
16 He sends snow as white as wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
Que dá a neve como a lã; espalha a geada como a cinza.
17 He throws hail like stones. Who can stand the cold he sends?
Que lança seu gelo [em] pedaços; quem pode subsistir ao seu frio?
18 Then he sends out his command and it melts; he blows on it and the water flows.
Ele manda sua palavra, e os faz derreter; faz soprar seu vento, [e] escorrem-se as águas.
19 He proclaims his word to Jacob; his rules and laws to Israel.
Ele declara suas palavras a Jacó; e seus estatutos e seus juízos a Israel.
20 He has not done this for any other nation—they don't know his laws. Praise the Lord!
Ele não fez assim a nenhuma [outra] nação; [e] não conhecem os juízos [dele]. Louvai ao SENHOR.
