Psalms 143
1 A psalm of David. Lord, please hear my prayer. Because you are faithful, please listen to my appeal for mercy. Answer me because you do what is right!
Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, tie me mpaeɛbɔ, tie me nkotosrɛ; wɔ wo nokorɛdie ne tenenee mu bra bɛboa me.
2 Please don't place me, your servant, on trial, because nobody is innocent in your sight.
Mfa wʼakoa nkɔ atemmuo mu, na ɔteasefoɔ biara ntene wɔ wʼanim.
3 The enemy has chased me down. He crushes me to the ground. He makes me live in darkness like those who died a long time ago.
Ɔtamfoɔ no taa me, ɔbɔ me hwe fam; ɔma me tena esum mu te sɛ wɔn a wɔawuwu dadaada.
4 I sense myself fading away inside; I am overwhelmed by a sense of desolation.
Ɛno enti me honhom atɔ piti wɔ me mu; na mʼakoma aba mu abu wɔ me mu.
5 I think of days long ago, and as I meditate I talk to myself about all you have done, I reflect on what you have accomplished.
Mekae tete nna no; medwendwene wo nnwuma ne deɛ wo nsa ayɛ nyinaa ho.
6 I stretch out my hands to you, thirsting for you like dried-out land. (Selah)
Mepagya me nsa kyerɛ wo; wo ho sukɔm de me kra sɛ asase wesee.
7 Please answer me quickly, Lord! I'm dying! Don't turn away otherwise I'll be just like those who are going down into the grave.
Ao Awurade, gye me so ntɛm; me honhom tɔ piti. Mfa wʼanim nhinta me anyɛ saa a, mɛyɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔkɔ amena mu no.
8 Tell me every morning about your trustworthy love, because I put my confidence in you. Show me the way I should go, because I dedicate myself to you.
Ma mente wʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no ho asɛm daa anɔpa, na mede me ho ato wo so. Kyerɛ me ɛkwan a memfa so, na wo na mema me kra so kyerɛ.
9 Save me from those who hate me, Lord—I run to you for protection.
Ao Awurade gye me firi mʼatamfoɔ nsam, na wo mu na mede me ho hinta.
10 Teach me your will for you are my God. May your spirit of goodness lead me and make my way smooth.
Kyerɛ me na menyɛ wʼapɛdeɛ, na wo ne me Onyankopɔn; ma wo honhom pa no nni me ɛkan wɔ asase tamaa so.
11 Because of the kind of person you are, let me go on living. Because you always do what's right, get me out of the trouble I'm in.
Ao Awurade, wo din enti, kyɛe me nkwa so; wo tenenee mu, yi me firi ɔhaw mu.
12 In your trustworthy love, get rid of those who hate me, destroy all my enemies, for I am your servant.
Wɔ wʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no mu, yi mʼatamfoɔ hɔ; na sɛe wɔn a wɔkyiri me nyinaa, na meyɛ wo ɔsomfoɔ.
