< Psalms 142 >

1 A maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A prayer. I call out to the Lord for help; pleading with the Lord for mercy.
[David kah Hlohlai, lungko khuila a om vaengkah Thangthuinah]. BOEIPA taengla ka ol neh ka pang tih BOEIPA taengah ka ol neh n'rhen lah ka ti.
2 I pour out my complaints before him; I tell him what's troubling me.
A mikhmuh ah ka kohuetnah ka kingling tih ka citcai khaw a mikhmuh ah ka phoe.
3 When I'm totally discouraged, you know the direction I should take. But whichever way I go, people set traps for me.
Ka khuikah ka mueihla rhae tih ka pongpa nah caehlong ah kai ham pael tung cakhaw ka hawn he na ming.
4 I look to my right for someone to support me—but no one pays me any attention. There's no safe place for me—no one cares about me at all.
Bantang la paelki lamtah kai ham ka hmat hlang om pawh tila hmu van lah. Kai ham tah thuhaelnah khaw bing coeng tih ka hinglu aka toem khaw om pawh.
5 I cry out to you, Lord, for help, saying, “You are the one who keeps me safe; you are all I need in life.
BOEIPA taengah ka pang tih, “Namah he mulhing khohmuen ah ka hlipyingnah neh ka khoyo coeng,” ni ka ti.
6 Please listen to my sad cry, for I'm feeling very low. Please save me from those who are after me, for they're too strong for me.
Mat ka tlayae coeng dongah ka tamlung taengla hnatung lah. Kai lakah aka tlung tih kai aka hloem rhoek taeng lamloh kai n'huul lah.
7 Release me from my prison so I can praise you for the person you are! Those who live right will gather round me because you have treated me so well.”
Kai hinglu he rhomhmop lamloh coe sak lamtah na ming te uem saeh. Kai he nan thuung ham coeng dongah aka dueng rhoek tah kamah taengah a bulbo uh ni.
