Psalms 136

1 Thank the Lord, because he is good! For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.

2 Thank the Lord, the God of gods! For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

O give thanks unto the God of gods, for His mercy endureth for ever.

3 Thank the Lord of lords! For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

O give thanks unto the Lord of lords, for His mercy endureth for ever.

4 To him who alone does amazing things! For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

To Him who alone doeth great wonders, for His mercy endureth for ever.

5 To him who knew how to make the heavens. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

To Him that by understanding made the heavens, for His mercy endureth for ever.

6 To him who spread out the earth over the waters. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

To Him that spread forth the earth above the waters, for His mercy endureth for ever.

7 To him who made the lights above. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

To Him that made great lights, for His mercy endureth for ever;

8 The sun to rule the day. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

The sun to rule by day, for His mercy endureth for ever;

9 The moon and stars to rule the night. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

The moon and stars to rule by night, for His mercy endureth for ever.

10 To him who struck down the firstborn in Egypt. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

To Him that smote Egypt in their first-born, for His mercy endureth for ever;

11 He led his people out of Egypt. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

And brought out Israel from among them, for His mercy endureth for ever;

12 He did this with his strong hand and outstretched arm. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, for His mercy endureth for ever.

13 To him who parted the Red Sea. For his trustworthy love lasts forever,

To Him who divided the Red Sea in sunder, for His mercy endureth for ever;

14 And led Israel through it. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

And made Israel to pass through the midst of it, for His mercy endureth for ever;

15 But threw Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for His mercy endureth for ever.

16 To him who led his people through the wilderness. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

17 To him who struck down powerful kings. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

To Him that smote great kings; for His mercy endureth for ever;

18 To him who killed powerful kings. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

And slew mighty kings, for His mercy endureth for ever.

19 Sihon, king of the Amorites. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

20 Og, king of Bashan. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

And Og king of Bashan, for His mercy endureth for ever;

21 He gave Israel their land to possess. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

And gave their land for a heritage, for His mercy endureth for ever;

22 He granted ownership to his servant Israel. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

Even a heritage unto Israel His servant, for His mercy endureth for ever.

23 He remembered us even in our humiliation. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

Who remembered us in our low estate, for His mercy endureth for ever;

24 He rescued us from our enemies. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

And hath delivered us from our adversaries, for His mercy endureth for ever.

25 To the one who provides food for every living creature. For his trustworthy love lasts forever.

Who giveth food to all flesh, for His mercy endureth for ever.

26 Thank the God of heaven! For his trustworthy love lasts forever.
