Psalms 135
1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord's reputation! Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord
| سپاس بر خداوند! نام خداوند را بستایید! ای خدمتگزاران خداوند، او را نیایش کنید! |
2 who worship in the house of the Lord, in the courts of our God.
| ای کسانی که در صحن خانهٔ خداوند می‌ایستید، او را پرستش نمایید! |
3 Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praises to his character because it is wonderful!
| خداوند را شکر کنید، زیرا او نیکوست. نام خداوند را بسرایید، زیرا نام او دلپسند است. |
4 For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself; Israel as his very own.
| خداوند یعقوب را برای خود برگزید، و اسرائیل را تا قوم خاص او باشد. |
5 I know how great the Lord is—our Lord is greater than all gods.
| می‌دانم که خداوند بزرگ است و از جمیع خدایان برتر! |
6 The Lord does whatever he wants throughout heaven and earth, on the seas and in the ocean depths.
| او هر آنچه که بخواهد، در آسمان و زمین و حتی اعماق دریا، انجام می‌دهد. |
7 He causes the clouds to rise all over the earth, he makes lightning flash and give rain, he sends the winds from his storehouses.
| ابرها را از جاهای دور دست زمین برمی‌آورد، رعد و برق و باد و باران ایجاد می‌کند. |
8 He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, both human and animal.
| خداوند پسران ارشد مصری‌ها را کشت و نخست‌زاده‌های حیواناتشان را هلاک کرد. |
9 He did wonderful miracles among you in Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.
| او بر ضد فرعون و قومش معجزات و علامات عظیم در مصر انجام داد. |
10 He struck down many nations, he killed powerful kings, such as
| ممالک بزرگ را مجازات کرد و پادشاهان مقتدر را از بین برد: |
11 Sihon, king of the Amorites, Og, king of Bashan, and all the kings who ruled in Canaan.
| سیحون، پادشاه اموری‌ها و عوج، پادشاه باشان و همهٔ پادشاهان کنعان را، |
12 He handed over their lands to Israel, his special people, for them to possess.
| و سرزمین آنها را همچون میراث به قوم خود اسرائیل بخشید. |
13 Your reputation, Lord, stands forever; you, Lord, are remembered for all generations.
| ای خداوند، نام تو تا ابد باقی است! همهٔ نسلها تو را به یاد خواهند آورد. |
14 The Lord will vindicate his people; he will show compassion to those who follow him.
| تو قوم خود را داوری خواهی نمود و بر بندگان خود رحم خواهی کرد. |
15 The idols of the foreign nations are only objects of silver and gold, made by human hands.
| خدایان قومهای دیگر، بتهای ساخته شده از طلا و نقره هستند. |
16 They have mouths, but can't speak; they have eyes, but can't see.
| دهان دارند، ولی سخن نمی‌گویند؛ چشم دارند، اما نمی‌بینند؛ |
17 They have ears, but can't hear; they can't even breathe!
| گوش دارند، ولی نمی‌شنوند؛ حتی قادر نیستند نفس بکشند! |
18 Those who make idols will become just like them, and so will everyone who trusts in them.
| سازندگان و پرستندگان بتها نیز مانند آنها هستند. |
19 People of Israel, praise the Lord! Descendants of Aaron, praise the Lord!
| ای بنی‌اسرائیل، خداوند را ستایش کنید! ای کاهنان، ای خاندان هارون، خداوند را ستایش کنید! |
20 Levites, praise the Lord! Everyone who worships the Lord, praise the Lord!
| ای لاویان، خداوند را ستایش کنید! ای خداشناسان، او را ستایش کنید! |
21 Praise the Lord from Zion, for he lives in Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!
| ای مردم اورشلیم، خداوند را ستایش کنید، زیرا او در اورشلیم ساکن است! سپاس بر خداوند! |
