1 A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. Lord, remember David, and all that he went through.
Tangtlaeng Laa Aw BOEIPA David ham a phaep pah te boeih poek pah.
2 He made a promise to the Lord, a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:
BOEIPA taengah a caeng tih Jakob samrhang taengah khaw a caeng coeng.
3 “I will not go home, I will not go to bed,
Ka dap im khuila ka pawk pawt vetih ka soengca rhaenghmuen khaw ka paan mahpawh.
4 I will not go to sleep, I will not take a nap,
Ka mik te ih sak ham, ka mikkhu te ngam sak ham ka pae mahpawh.
5 until I find a place where the Lord can live, a home for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
BOEIPA ham a hmuen neh Jakob kah samrhang ham tolhmuen ka hmuh duela.
6 In Ephrathah we received information about the Ark of Agreement, and we found it in fields near Jaar.
Khohmuen duup ah m'hmuh te Epharath ah khaw n'yaak uh coeng.
7 Let's go to the place where the Lord lives and bow down at his feet in worship.
A tolhmuen la cet uh sih lamtah a kho kah khotloeng taengah bawk uh sih.
8 Come, Lord, and enter your home, together with your Ark of your power.
Aw BOEIPA nang na duemnah neh na sarhi thingkawng taengah thoo lah.
9 May your priests wear goodness like clothing; may your faithful people shout for joy.
Na khosoih rhoek loh duengnah bai uh saeh lamtah na hlangcim rhoek loh tamhoe uh saeh.
10 For the sake of your servant David, don't reject the king you have chosen.
Na sal David ham tah na koelh kah maelhmai te na mangthuung tak moenih.
11 The Lord made a solemn promise to David, one he will never cancel—“I will put one of your descendants on your throne.
BOEIPA loh David taengah oltak la a caeng coeng. Na bungko thaihtae lamkah khaw te lamloh mael pawt vetih nang ham ngolkhoel soah kang khueh bitni.
12 If your sons keep to my agreement and my laws that I will teach them, then their sons will always occupy your throne.”
Ka paipi neh amih ka tukkil ka olphong te na ca rhoek loh a ngaithuen uh atah a ca rhoek khaw na ngolkhoel dongah a yoeyah la ngol uh ni.
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion, wanting to make his home there, saying:
BOEIPA loh Zion te a coelh tih amah tolrhum la a sahnaih thil.
14 “This will always be my home; this is where I want to live.
Ka duemnah he ka sahnaih coeng dongah a yoeyah la pahoi ka ngol thil ni.
15 I will provide the people of the city with all they need; I will feed the poor.
A sakah te ka uem ka uem pah vetih a khuikah khodaeng rhoek te buh ka cung sak ni.
16 I will clothe its priests with salvation; and its faithful people will shout for joy.
Te vaengah a khosoih rhoek te khangnah ka bai sak vetih a hlangcim rhoek loh tamhoe la tamhoe uh ni.
17 I will make the line of David even more powerful. I have prepared a lamp for my chosen king.
David ham ki pahoi ka cawn sak vetih ka koelh ham hmaithoi ka tok pah ni.
18 I will humiliate his enemies, but the crown he wears will shine brightly.”
