< Psalms 130 >

1 A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. Lord, I cry out to you from the depths of my pain.
Orin fún ìgòkè. Láti inú ibú wá ni èmi ń ké pè é ọ́ Olúwa
2 Please listen to my cry, and pay attention to what I'm asking.
Olúwa, gbóhùn mi, jẹ́ kí etí rẹ kí o tẹ́ sílẹ̀ sí ohùn ẹ̀bẹ̀ mi.
3 Lord, if you kept a list of sins, who could escape being condemned?
Olúwa, ìbá ṣe pé kí ìwọ máa sàmì ẹ̀ṣẹ̀, Olúwa, tá ni ìbá dúró.
4 But you are forgiving so that we might respect you.
Nítorí ìdáríjì wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ, kí a lè máa bẹ̀rù rẹ.
5 I'm waiting for the Lord, longingly waiting, for I trust in his word.
Èmi dúró de Olúwa, ọkàn mi dúró, àti nínú ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ ni èmi ń ṣe ìrètí.
6 I long for the Lord to come, more than watchmen longing for the dawn to come, more than watchmen longing for the dawn to come.
Ọkàn mi dúró de Olúwa, ju àwọn tí ń ṣọ́nà òwúrọ̀ lọ, àní ju àwọn tí ń ṣọ́nà òwúrọ̀ lọ.
7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for the Lord loves us with a trustworthy love and his salvation knows no limits.
Israẹli, ìwọ ní ìrètí ní ti Olúwa: nítorí pé lọ́dọ̀ Olúwa ni àánú wà, àti lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ ni ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ìdáǹdè wà.
8 He will save Israel from every sin.
Òun ó sì dá Israẹli ní ìdè kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ̀ gbogbo.
